Check to see if the collection water tank outside the bladder is full. The float will activate to cut off suction. Empty the collection tank and test for suction. If there is still no suction at this time, please visit a BISSELL Authorized Service Center.
Often when your machine is not picking up it is due to loss of suction. If your vacuum cleaner turns on but won`t pick up on carpet or bare floors, something is impeding suction. You may need to change the vacuum bag, unclog the hose, replace/clean the filters, replace the hose, change the belt, or repair the motor.
The most common cause of loss of suction is that the filters have become blocked. They may require cleaning or replacing. Another cause could be that the vacuum cleaner hose is blocked.
Locate the brush reset button on the lower back right of the vacuum. Press the button to reset the brushroll To ensure the brush has been reset, plug the vacuum back into the electrical outlet.
What`s happening with your vacuum cleaner is that a clog has built up and debris being agitated by the roller is spitting out or stirring up dust without sucking it in.

My bissel vacume was not picking up the dirt on the carpet. So I found that the hose was clogged. I unclogged it but the vacume still is not picking up the dirt. I also changed the filters.
ANSWER : I found out that if you remove the front filter holder, tip vacuum back and look down inside. Sometimes there is hair caught back in there and you won’t get suction. I had to use something long, knife, very long type tweezers, to pull all the hair out. Worked great after that. About half way through vacuuming I will stop and remove the foam rubber filter and clean it. Oh yea, you will have to use a flashlight to look down inside to see all the hair caught behind the foam rubber filter cup.
My filter queen just had the motor rebuilt last year and was basically a brand new unit when I got it back. It is not picking anything up now when I vacuum. The beater bar on the carpet attachment is turning fine and when I take all the attachments off the hose I can feel the suction being created like it should be picking up debris just fine. I have emptied the canister even when it did not have much in it; however, it still will not pick anything up off the carpet. It picks up debris tempo
ANSWER : It sounds as if you have a clog inside the “Power Nozzel”. They mention that there are “no user serviceable parts within the Majestic® Power Nozzle” My advice would be to see if you can see a clog with in reachable distance and try to remove the clog. One way to check for a clog which may work for you is to remove the attachment and shine a flashlight on one of of the attachment and look through the other side and see if you see light, if no light, most likely a clog. Past that you might void the warrenty if you try and open it up the Power Nozzel itself. You may want to ask a Phone service rep about clog removal.
Hoover tempo upright is clogged. I can only vac for a few minutes, then I have to unplug it and turn it over and clean out the under part under the roller. It is totally stuffed with dirt and dust and carpet fibers. I have a new bag in. It is like it is clogged up inbetween the bag and the roller. Also gets clogged when using the hose. It is maybe a year old. How can I take it apart and unclog it?
ANSWER : Disconnect the hose and head and wands. Drop a quarter thru the hose, the handle sometimes clogs. peer thru the wands and inspect the elbow on the head for blockage as well
Bissell 37604 Bagless Upright Vacuum. Hose keeps clogging every time I vacuum. Is there a way to prevent this?
I am ready to buy a new vacuum, but it does do a great job picking up hair…until it clogs. It clogs at top of hose. Could the hose be kinked? It does not look like it.
ANSWER : That is a defect in the design of that style of vacuum. I went back to my old vac because I got so tired of having to unstop it. The sharp turns in the hose and the molded plastic causes it. Find one without the turns.
My electrolux oxygen cannister has the “bag change” light on when there is a new bag. The light stays on when the suction power is high (to pick up small particles) and it won’t pick up, but the ight goes off when the suction power is low (to pick up big objects). I changed the hepa filter, cleaned the motor filter and changed bags, but all that didn’t help.
ANSWER : You may have a clog in the hose, and/or the inlet by the brush roll. A clog will turn on that light as well as a full bag.
I had used Dyson DC08 to **** out a wet car carpet. A few days later when using the V/C, there was a burning smell. Subsequently I washed the flexible hose, changed the pre-filter and post filter , but I wrongly put the pre-filter in the spot for the post filter. When the V/C was next used, there was again a burning smell and sparks. The filters were switched, but the V/C would not re-start.
What shall I do?

Have ultra vision and have changed filter and foam filter, checked all hoses but still will not pick up. Belt is fine and brush is clean and spinning properly. dirt stays at top of filter instead of falling into canister.
ANSWER : My kids get mine stuck all the time 🙁
Take the vacuum outside then:
Remove the hose at the bottom and see if there is any obstructions. Also shake the hose to make sure there is nothing in there as well or take it out side and make sure you can see light through it.
Let me know if this has helped or if I can help you with anything else,
Thanks
No Suction I get great suction in the hose, but when I plug the hose back into the unit, there is no suction and the air flow indicator line goes completely red. I've changed the bag and filters. I took the small panel off the back and made sure there is no clog, and took the hose off to make sure there was no clog there. Still no suction. Please help.
ANSWER : I about to say that’s always a clog of some sort that causes that
