There may be too much foam building up within – be sure to use the recommended amount of formula as indicated on the clean tank. Also be sure to use the proper CrossWave formula (not portable or upright cleaning formulas)

Check to see if your clean water tank is empty. The clean water tank also may not be seated properly. The brush window could also not be latched into place. Turn off your machine and check to see if the brush window is secure.
The vacuum hose is the component most likely to spring a leak. Hoses get stretched farther than they should, or they become brittle and crack. To find a leak, run your fingers over the surface of the hose. You may be able to feel a bump, a rough spot, or a slit that is allowing air to leak out.
A leaking pipe is one of the most common reasons that a carpet might be consistently and regularly getting damp. Pipes are a facet of a property that are always in use, and if they have fallen into disrepair then it may well mean you will have a damp related issue on your hands soon enough.
Just empty the water out of the tank after each use. Doing so will prevent leaking and extend the life of your filter.

If you`re wondering whether you can use the Bissell Crosswave without water, the answer is yes! However, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, without water, the Crosswave will not be as effective at cleaning your floors. Second, you`ll need to use a different cleaning solution in the Crosswave without water.

Vacuum Leaks Cause Engine Performance Issues

Specifically, because there is too much air and not enough fuel in the engine, your engine may stall, stutter, or lag in acceleration when you press down on the accelerator. This is because the engine is fuel-starved, which means it doesn`t have enough fuel.

A vacuum leak can affect your automobile in two specific ways. First, it will hinder your engine`s performance. Second, it will reduce the vehicle`s fuel economy. Your car, truck, or utility vehicle uses the vacuum created by the combustion process to power accessories and components.
Does baking soda absorb moisture in carpet? Well, it does! Baking soda is effective in drying wet carpet because it removes moisture. Sprinkling it over the carpet and allowing it to sit for a minimum of 30 minutes will deodorize and dry up your carpet.
Reasons for Water Seeping Through the Floor. There are several common reasons for water seeping up through your basement floor, including backed up or collapsed drains, leaking pipes or appliances, a cracked foundation, clogged gutters, and poor drainage.
Overall, Bissell is a popular vacuum brand for a reason – these vacuums are dependable and last up to two years without issue. However, some models are better than others when it comes to cleaning different surfaces.
If you notice you`ve accidentally vacuumed water, the first step is to stop vacuuming the water and turn off the vacuum cleaner. If you`ve just suctioned a tiny amount of water, you may just need to allow the vacuum to dry out before using it again – this will ensure you don`t develop clogs.
The BISSELL portable and handheld carpet washer are wet extraction models only. Please do not use as a dry vacuum. If you use as a dry vacuum, you may damage your deep cleaner and void your warranty.
BISSELL SpotClean ProHeat features HeatWave Technology® to maintain consistent water temperature while cleaning for heated cleaning, just add hot tap water!
You can try using 1 cup of white vinegar in your Bissell Spot Cleaner. Pour in the Vinegar, then fill the rest of the Bissell Spot Cleaner tank with hot tap water. Just be sure to follow normal safety guidelines that go with using vinegar as a cleaner.
Steam leaks result in the loss of both latent and sensible energy, while condensate leakage can be the loss of flash steam (latent and sensible energy) or just condensate, which is the loss of sensible energy. These losses add up—often to as much as 9% of overall energy consumption.
Silicone Repair Tape

Silicone tape has the ability to withstand temperatures up to 200 °C, so it is generally used on pipes that operate at lower temperatures and pressure outputs. The tape works like a rubber band. It molds to the area that has a leak or holes and is able to provide a strong plug.

The water travels from the water tank to a boiler that heats it to 100°C. The water then, compressed to a high and steady steam pressure, comes out of the mouthpiece through small vents.
One of the most common causes for a washer that leaks from the bottom is a leak in the fill and drain hoses. These hoses can become blocked, kinked, damaged or disconnected, resulting in a leak while your washing machine is in use.
Pipe repair rubber tape is a good temporary fix for leaking pipes. Turn the water supply off and wrap the tape a few times around the leaking pipe to help make a watertight seal. Suitable for jointing, splicing and repairing cables, hoses, plastic and metallic tubes.
If the tank is full then water will start to leak out. Place the cleaner over a sink and pull the drainage cap out underneath the tank to drain out the water. I have a bissell quickwash 1950-e. I bought it Jan. 2006, and have only used it 8-10 times, I live in a very hard water area, so I though if I put some vinegar in with the cleaning solution it would get rid of any hard water deposits, unfortunatly the solution went lumpy in the tank and stoped spraying out water, I have opened it, hose clean, sprayer not blocked, x at bottom of water container when depresed water trickles out, component that opens the x when water container placed, also ran wate
ANSWER : Hard to say what is causing your problem, replacing the cap and insert on the water tank may help, part #2041111, even tho it may trickle out water when depressed, they can still be bad. The other thing would be the rod not relesing the water like it should. The big draw back to this model is Bissell has obsoleted all of its parts and most are no longer available. Might be wiser to buy new.

I have a Bissell Pro 2x carpet cleaner. The water heats properly as well as spraying the cleaning product. However, when I go to suction the water from the carpets, the 2 in 1 water tank bladder works properly but there is no dirty water outside the bladder. I have only used this carpet cleaner ~ 5 times and in the beginning I had to empty the suctioned water quite frequently as it was dirty and it could not not hold any more water. So I have done 1 room and all the dirt remains in the carpet
ANSWER : Check that the suction cone is not blocked. Check that the filter or hose to the bladder isn’t blocked as well.

No Water My Bissell rug shampooer does not eject water or saop whan I pull the saop trigger on the handle. I checked both filters and they are clean. Then, I removed the container that sucks up the water and pulled the saop trigger, water barely came out of the tubes. I tried to clean the rug in our family room and the rug was not wet when I finished, no water coming out to clean the rug. HELP HELP HELP!!! I live in Colorado is there a Bissell repair shop near Denver, HELP!!! Thanks Dominick ema
ANSWER : Does water squirt out of the hose nozzle, if it does, then check the heater inside the handle asm. Make sure that where the tubes hook up to it are not clogged. If water doesn’t squirt, check for the seal at the bottom of the tank, it needs to be on the tank, not in the hole, this is for the soap bottle also, there is a seal on the bottom of it as well. The flow indictor cap is leaking air or maybe is too tight. If you had the top cover off, make sure that the tubes are routed right so as not to get pinched when the cover is put back on, the smart mix knob should be in the water setting and that the piston is on the bottom of the smart mix knob. Pump is bad. Try running a mix of vinegar and water to see if that unclogs the lines. Is the top cover and the base tight together in the back, sometimes the top breaks loose and it will raise up and it can’t spray, just re-fasten it down.

We have a Bissell Proheat 2X (model 8920). The problem we are having is when water/soap is initially released (all settings) it continues to leak out the front water spray nozzles unit the water containers are empty. The vacuum works but can’t keep up with the continuous water leaking out. Do you have any idea what is sticking open to allow the continued release of water when the machine is running? Thanks Rick
ANSWER : Return it. It is faulty and should not do that. Mine does not. Does require changing water about evrery 10 minutes but one can see the filth in the water. Also re-clean with plain water over areas that were cleaned to remove all cleaner. Old cleaner in carpet to dirt is like a bug attracted to a bug zapper. It can be time consuming, but it will pay for itself and can do a great job if you pay attention when water or cleaner runs out, otherwise it will not clean properly!

Water doesn’t come out of my Bissel Deep Cleaner
ANSWER : When changing belts both must be changed at the same time because the pump belt will stretch out and will not run the pump right unless it is tight and the brush belt will break or slip so both must be changed together at the same time. this is how I solved the water problem with my bissell power steamer model 1697-w..hope this helps.
