Q: How come there is no foam coming out of the shampoo system? A: To produce foam properly, the suds screen and foam sponge must be in place on the shampoo tank. To check this, remove the tank and make sure they`re properly in place.
Q: What shampoo can I use in my Kirby? A: You should only use genuine Kirby Carpet Shampoo in Kirby shampoo systems. For a fragrance-free option, please try Kirby Unscented Carpet Shampoo!
Kirby DIY dry foam carpet shampoo 3QT cold water 3TBS dish soap 1TBS white vinegar 1/2Tsp ammonia Use funnel to add water to milk jug first. Add other ingredients. Shake. I let mine sit for 20 mins before I used it.
Foam through your vacuum motors can severely damage them, costing you money. Carpet defoamer is a cost effective and easy solution to stop foam & damage in carpet cleaning extraction machines.
The Kirby shampoo takes 2 hours to completely dry, at the most. I also noticed that clean-up was a lot easier. The Kirby shampoo rinses away clean with just cold water, taking the dirt with it.
Not only can the Kirby vacuum but you can also harness the power of the Kirby and convert it into a powerful floor scrubber that is PERFECT for cleaning tile and grout floors.
The Dyson vs. Kirby vacuum cleaners debate can be complicated, as these brands are so different. If it comes down to price or size, Dyson will probably get the upper hand — but for all other vacuuming considerations, Kirby is the way to go.
The most common cause of loss of suction is that the filters have become blocked. They may require cleaning or replacing. Another cause could be that the vacuum cleaner hose is blocked.
Kirby vacuum prices are higher than many vacuums found at big-box stores, but that`s because Kirby vacuums are made of durable materials that will last for years. Why replace an inexpensive vacuum over and over again when you can purchase a Kirby vacuum? This complete home cleaning system that will last for a lifetime.
Our cleaning system has a proven track record of tackling the toughest conditions and stains on any type of floor. You heard right – your Kirby is more than a vacuum. It cleans hardwood floors, vinyl, tile and so much more!
How Often Should You Shampoo Your Carpet? You should clean your carpet at least every 12 months to remove dirt, grime, and allergens. However, this schedule can vary depending on several factors in your household. If you have children or pets, you might shampoo your carpets more regularly.
Inspect the vacuum hose for any small holes, kinks, or cracks. Any cracks or holes will decrease the amount of suction in the hose and will not allow the carpet extractor to properly remove liquid from the floor. The hose will need to be replaced if there is damage.
To clean a foam filter, submerge it in water, squeeze it to allow the dirt to escape the foam, and allow it to air dry before putting it back in your vacuum. If you want the room to smell really nice next time you`re vacuuming, add a few drops of essential oil to the foam.

My kirby shampooer doesnt seem to be placing foam on the floor like it should and it’s not picking up any at all
ANSWER : Mine did that once and we were missing the filter part on the end of the shampoo hose attachment.fits on the end of the hose. Bought a new one at the Kirby store for cheap. It looks like a filter screen and without it just seems to soak the carpet without foaming up or cleaning it very well.

My dyson seems to have lost its suction therefore is not picking up anything yet i have found that when my dyson is standing upright it has a little more suction but nothing like how it use to work. This has only happend in the last 2 weeks. I sanded a floor & though the sander picked up majority of the dust i did use the dyson to pick up the excess and it is since then that my dyson has not been working to its full potential.

I cleaned out my brush in the bottom front, cleaned out the small tubing going into the canister, and the canister itself. I also changed the filter.I snapped everything back into place, but Since then, it doesn’t seem to have any suction and there seems to be a space between the canister and the bottom of the vacumm where the canister sits. At that area, you can feel air coming out when trying to vacumm and it just doesn’t pick up, it seems to be just blowing stuff around.
ANSWER : You need to really look at it some thing is out of line you shooed not have
.any spaces in the top or bottom
.pull the canister back out and look at the pins that you lined up with the

I replaced the belt in our Eureka Boss Smart Vac, it still seems loose, it uses a type R belt. The beater belt still doesn’t seem to turn properly and seems that it doesn’t pick up very well when I use it on my berber carpet. We have 2 dogs and I like to use it frequently. I have changed the bags and belt……
ANSWER : Check to see that the beater brush is not frozen up. Pull the brush and clean it, spraying some WD40 on each end piece that holds the brush in place..Also be sure the belt is properly installed so that the brush turns in the correct direction..If the brush is not turning or not turning in the correct direction, it will not beat the dirt from the carpet so that it can be picked up by the vacuum’s suction.

Need Kirby Generation 3 Vacuum cleaner manual. Vacuum is not picking up dirt from floor. Seems to have enough suction to inflate the bag, but when you check the suction under the vacuum, there seems to be extremely litle suction.
ANSWER : If your brush roll is turning and your bag is not overly full, then the only other thing it can be is a clog where the bag connects to the vacuum. Turn the plastic part out away from vacuum and lift off to see if you have something clogging it. It would have to be something big, but not so big that it could not get past the fan. As a rule of thumb, KIRBY never clogs. I suspect that your belt is stretched out and your brush roll is not turning while on the carpet so the brush roll is just in the way rather than brushing your carpet to pick up dirt.

My filter queen just had the motor rebuilt last year and was basically a brand new unit when I got it back. It is not picking anything up now when I vacuum. The beater bar on the carpet attachment is turning fine and when I take all the attachments off the hose I can feel the suction being created like it should be picking up debris just fine. I have emptied the canister even when it did not have much in it; however, it still will not pick anything up off the carpet. It picks up debris tempo
ANSWER : It sounds as if you have a clog inside the “Power Nozzel”. They mention that there are “no user serviceable parts within the Majestic® Power Nozzle” My advice would be to see if you can see a clog with in reachable distance and try to remove the clog. One way to check for a clog which may work for you is to remove the attachment and shine a flashlight on one of of the attachment and look through the other side and see if you see light, if no light, most likely a clog. Past that you might void the warrenty if you try and open it up the Power Nozzel itself. You may want to ask a Phone service rep about clog removal.

I have a Eureka Altima vacuum cleaner that doesn’t pick up very well. The suction seems fine but the brush roller doesn’t seem to pick up from the top of the carpet. When you lower the height of the vacuum the belt rubs and smells horribly. How can I get the vacuum to pick up better?
ANSWER : That means that you need to replace the belt. Here is the belt you need to replace and the manual which has instructions:
