How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?

A blue screen on your Television can indicate a problem with the TV/video input. If the issue fails to turn off, it could mean the TV`s internal memory is overcharged, or the power capacitors are faulty.
The organisation is named after the white dot that appeared in the middle of old CRT television screens when switched off—as the capacitors discharged, the cathode ray would continue to emit electrons although no longer being controlled horizontally or vertically.
Black spots on your TV screen are caused by debris, dead pixels, or stuck pixels. Perhaps the most common cause of black spots is dirt and debris that have accumulated on the surface of the TV screen over time. If ignored, it will lead to black spots.
Does TV emit blue light? In short, yes. LED screens that are popular these days emit a great deal of blue light, which can be potentially harmful to the eyes. Therefore, watching too much TV, especially late at night, can suppress melatonin production that makes us ready for sleep.
X-radiation emissions from properly operated TV sets and computer monitors containing CRTs are well controlled and do not present a public health hazard.
If you`ve ever owned a CRT before, you`re probably well aware of their relatively short lifespan. A typical CRT display only lasts for about 20,000 to 30,000 hours of use, at which point it must be repaired or replaced.
In conclusion, a blue tint issue on a Samsung TV can be caused by several factors, including incorrect color temperature settings, poor calibration, aging displays, and faulty hardware.
A “Defective pixel” is a phenomenon that occurs due to the characteristics of the LCD. It is not a defect. Minute dots( bright dots and/or dark dots as seen above) may occur on a LCD. These dots are called Defective pixels (quoted from Wikipedia)”.
In a CRT, phosphor coats the inside of the screen. When the electron beam strikes the phosphor, it makes the screen glow. In a black-and-white screen, there is one phosphor that glows white when struck. In a color screen, there are three phosphors arranged as dots or stripes that emit red, green and blue light.
Backlight bleed is characterized as light leaking around the edges or corners of an LCD. This is due to the way these displays work; they use a light behind the panel that faces the display. Backlight bleeding is simply some of the backlight leaking through.
Adding a screen filter to your smartphone, tablet and computer helps filter the amount of blue light your screens give off. Switching your devices to “night mode” may also help. The setting lowers your screen`s brightness. This can ease digital eyestrain and may even help you sleep better.
Blue light, also known as high-energy visible (HEV) light, is a color in the visible light spectrum that can be seen by human eyes. These wavelengths of visible and non-visible light are measured in nanometers (nm), and, in general, the shorter the wavelength, the higher the energy.
Longer Lifespan

CRT TVs boast one key advantage over modern counterparts — their construction is built to last. These sets can withstand wear and tear well and often outlive LCD or OLED technology for many years. If something goes wrong, usually only one part needs replacing, cutting down on repair shop visits.

Flicker occurs on CRTs when they are driven at a low refresh rate, allowing the brightness to drop for time intervals sufficiently long to be noticed by a human eye – see persistence of vision and flicker fusion threshold.

Many time it happens that there appears a single thin horizontal line on the CRT TV screen. The probable cause of this problem can be a faulty yoke with a defective or burned coil inside it. The other probable cause can be loose contact between the yoke and the main board.

My old Samsung CRT TV has strange blue dots on the top left corner. Is it because it’s next to a speaker? when I move it the dots go away after a while.
ANSWER : Yes, speakers will cause the picture to magnatize amd will cause this distortion. Keep the speakers at a distance to prevent this from happening.

How do you fasten ( tighten to the counter) a kitchen water fauset GROHE 33759 SDE , it’s loose, and the hole unit moves, when only the top part should move to the left and to the right,I tried to tighten it from under the sink ,but the nut under the sink does not have any tread,I think it tights from the top,but I am not sure how, any ideas?
Thanks.
ANSWER : Hi, I am Steve, lets get you some help.
.Your faucet tightens from underneath. http://www.grohecatalog.com/product/33759g shows full details of your tap unit..
.There should be a screw thread below the sink and there will be a nut on that thread – this nut needs to be tightened to hold it in position. It is often very difficult to get a good grip on this nut and it can require a specialist tool – this link is an example of a plumbers spanner http://www.toolfastdirect.co.uk/acatalog/info_tb171g.html. They are designed to deal with the limited space when tightening faucets into place..

G-5 Kirby self-propel works intermitently. The handle must be jiggled until it engages forward. The same for reverse. Once underway it will continue indefinitely until the need to change direction. Jiggle go forward, jiggle go in reverse. It seems as though it helps to push the handle at an angle to the left depressing the switch on the left side at the base of the vacuum head.
ANSWER : Sounds like a loose wire, the wire is connected to the handle, you may be able to fix this yourself but be careful you can void the warranty by doing it your self. (most people make the problem worse) remember your kirby has a lifetime warranty (limited) the first 3 years anything and everything, after that for 175 dollars you can send it in and get it rebuilt to the newest model no matter how old it is as long as the person is still alive that signed the warranty card.

hope that helped.

Roomba Discovery Roomba is fully charged and cleaned with sensor wiped clean. When turned on it it sounds normal and commences to go, but it then acts like it is putting on the breaks, spins, tries to go and manages a short distance and breaks again, just not making any progress because it keeps breaking after a foot or so and turns and tries again. Sometimes is gets so stuck from moving forward at all, like it is stuck in one spot just trying to go while seemingly surrounded by barriers. Somet
ANSWER : I had the same back-up, turn, move forward a couple inches, backup-up, etc. problem. Try cleaning/cutting the hair, etc. out from around the brushes, as well as around the ends of the brushes. Also, try a Q-tip to clean out the four pair of sensors (on my Roomba there are four pairs of little lenses under the bottom of the bumper) that (apparently) can cause the Roomba to think it is going over a cliff so it backs up. I didn’t have a can of compressed air, so I turned it over on the grass and went after it with a leaf blower..up close. Lots of dust came out and it has worked fine since.

I have a Eureka 4870GZ. It turns on, but the brush roller doesn’t move. The belt looks fine. I do have an extra belt and would try replacing the old belt, but I can’t get the old one off the motor shaft or the new one on. I called Eureka customer service. The lady said there’s supposed to be a small space between the motor shaft and the outside edge of the vacuum where I can slip the old belt off and the new one on. I don’t see it. It looks like the motor shaft goes into a recessed place in the
