Panasonic to end U.S. vacuum cleaner business due to cheaper competition – Xinhua | English.news.cn. TOKYO, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) — Panasonic Corp. said on Friday it will end its vacuum cleaner development business in North America at the end of March as its vacuum business is failing to deal with cheaper competition.
On our site you will find an excellent variety of bags that are certain to fit the model of your cleaner. Panasonic has exited the vacuum cleaner business in 2016 but we still support parts, bags and filters.

If your vacuum cleaner keeps turning off, this could be due to the following reasons: Blockages – check the hose and head for any obstructions. Filter – always check your filters, if these are clogged this could be causing the vacuum cleaner to work harder and lose suction power.
A damaged vacuum hose, clogged motor air filter or bad suction motor can cause the vacuum cleaner to shut off during use. A tripped overload on the vacuum suction motor can shut off the vacuum cleaner during use. If your vacuum has a reset button, push it; if the vacuum seems hot, let it cool off first.
The first vacuum-cleaning device to be portable and marketed at the domestic market was built in 1905 by Walter Griffiths, a manufacturer in Birmingham, England.
The ancestor to our modern vacuum cleaner was a “carpet sweeper” invented in 1860 by Daniel Hess of West Union, Iowa. The non-motorized machine used a complex system of bellows for suction, and spinning brushes to pick up dirt.
Remove the excess dirt on the filter by gently using a vacuum cleaner to clean the filter. For the Solar Refreshing of the Deodorizing Filter, place the filter under direct sunlight for 6 hours then refit filter back into place. Recommendation: Replace these filters every 3 years.

My Panasonic performance plus platinum vacuum cuts off and on while using the beater bar, this doesn’t happen at all using the stair cleaning attachment. It appear electrical contact is being lost where the lower plug makes contact.
ANSWER : The solution to my problem which is located at the lower electrical plug on the long wand was to expermint using a nickel and placing this in an area where the long wand connects with the beater bar section, here there is a gap which allows too much clearance thus losing electrical contact at times and then making contact. A nickel is about .075 thousands thick so I hacksawed a flat piece of metal that was this same thickness, the other dimensions of this little piece are 3/8 inch wide by 5/8 in length, I then forced this little piece in the above mentioned gap which places tension maintaining electrical contact. It works fine now, there is either wear in the electrical contacts plug in, a new lower electrical plug in line will fix this but I can order one later I need to vacuum the whole house so now I can. .I have a Kirby Vacuum and Carpet Cleaner that I know how to use, all except the attachment that I am not sure about. I am not sure if it is a vacuuming attachment or can I attach it and use it to clean my couch, I do not have the user guide for my vacuum as I got it from my son’s ex girlfriend in lieu of money she owed me. It looks like it should be used for shampooing things like stairs and furniture, but for the life of me I cannot figure it out! Can you please help me? Tell me how to attach it if it is supposed to be used to clean stairs and furniture or tell me where I can find the user guide to look at and see how to use it……Oh by the way I have a 160 pound rottweiler that tries to live on my furniture and my couch is in desperate need of cleaning, this is my only day off and I have spent all day cleaning carpets due to my dog and would love to clean my couch before returning to work and putting my dog in the back yard now that it is warm enough for him to be outside all day.
Thanks,

.Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. My suggestion is that you contact the Kirby Co in Cleveland listed below and they will instruct you either to down load a owner’s manual or they will mail one out to you, there might be a local Kirby dealer in your area that might have a manual as well. Also, there is a separate shampoo head that will be in the owner’s manual, you remove the vacuum head and bag assm and attach the shampoo head, make sure you use genuine Kirby shampoo for the carpet. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

I purchased a Eureka C4910 last year and have a question that I am hoping you can answer.

There are two motor actions with this vacuum, 1) the vacuum suction, and 2) the beater bar. The action of the beater bar is that motor is supposed to automatically shut off when the handle is in the complete vertical position assuming the vacuum is stationary, but then turn on when the handle is tilted toward the floor, assuming the vacuum is moving back and forth.

The beater bar motor turn-on mechan

ANSWER : Good day!

Normally when the motor is easily moved back and forth means that it have a proper lubrication, proper alignment and no clogs.

When the motor and the belt is OK the problem could be on electrical wiring and switch.

If found electrical switch burned out you need to replaced it because when the switch is burn the contact of that switch is open even you turn it ON.that’s why the motor is not function because the voltage is not pass through the circuit because of open switch. You need to replaced it.
And check some fuses if any and other burned electrical wire.Replaced it also.

Thank you and don’t forget to rate my answer.

I purchased a brand new Eureka Pet vacuum, sorry don’t know exact name but it the one that has the self cleaning duster on it. Last night I used the vacuum on my carpet, it was working fine until I accidently sucked up the corner of a scarf that was hanging off a couch. I shut the vacuum off, pulled out the scarf and and resumed vacuuming. Much to my dismay the suction on the vacuum had ceased. Can you tell me if there is a reset button on the vacuum? The vacuum does not appear to be damage
ANSWER : If the motor is running, there should be suction. Possible problems depend on whether it’s a canister or upright and are:
.A clog in the hose, UR or canister. Detach hose. Drop small coin in one end and lift hose causing it to roll out the other. If it does, no clog in hose. Drop same coin into hose opening on power head. If it rolls out, no clog in PN.
.Broken fan blades, UR. Needs to be taken to shop for repair/replacement.
.
.A reset button is for use if the motor isn’t running, so won’t have anything to do with the suction.

I have a Kenmore upright progrssive intell clean. For some reason it isn’t sucking when I use it to vacuum. When I use attachments they work fine, but when I plug the hose back in after using the attachments and turn it back on it makes a weird noise and I can feel air blowing out of the back. Can you help me resolve this problem?
ANSWER : You have the answer and just don’t know it. You are there so keep looking. Somewhere between where the suction hose connects with the lower hose and the power-head. There is a blockage, you may need to turn the unit upside down and look there or try using a wire with a hook on one end, to extract the blockage. but something is blocking the tube from letting air and debris from traveling up the tube.
