Euro-Pro Cordless Bagless Upright Sweeper – Blue/Gray\015 Sucked up the corner of a throw rug and the machine quit. The brush turns freely by hand but when I turned it back on it won’t rotate. The three red lights blink but no motor action. I can’t find a reset button and did the “unjam” and wait 10 seconds, then turn it on and “it should run” but nothing happens. It’s only been used 5 or 6 times and is fully charged. is it scrap?\015
How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?
Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced Vacuum Technicians :
Check for a clogged hose or filter; unclog the hose and replace the filter. Wait 45 minutes for the vacuum to cool; then plug in the vacuum. Turn the power switch to the “I-On” position to start the vacuum. If the vacuum still does not start, contact Customer Service at 1-800-798-7398.
Roller brush is not spinning
Check to make sure the vacuum is switched to the correct mode. The switch should be in the Power and Brushroll mode to make the roller spin. If it is in just the power mode the roller will not move. The brushroll indicator light should be green when working.
Take a look at charging conditions
If this is the case, check your battery charger to make sure it is working properly, connecting to the battery properly, and that the connectors are not dirty or damaged. If it`s been a few years since you started using the vac, you may need to buy a new battery.
Vacuum Cleaner: Why doesn`t my vacuum cleaner`s brush roll spin? A broken drive belt, damaged brush roll, jammed brush roll bearings, tripped brush roll motor overload, failed brush roll motor or a wiring failure in the wand or nozzle can prevent the brush roll from spinning.
To reset your shark vacuum, put the Power button in the On-Off position and keep the vacuum unplugged. If necessary, clear the hose. Once it has cooled completely, plug the vacuum back in again.
No. I leave unplugged after battery is charged. Battery stays fully charged. No need to keep plugged in.
Vacuum Doesn`t Turn On
The Shark Cordless Vertex Pro IZ682H comes with two lithium batteries. If your battery does not charge, clean the terminals of the vacuum and the battery with rubbing alcohol. If the battery doesn`t charge, you should replace it.

Chain saw starts runs, bur saw won’t start next time it is needed, craftsman chain saw
ANSWER : Steam vacuum? no clue but on your chain saw make sure you check the choke. it would explain why it wouldn’t start again.
While using my Dyson a rug got caught and that ratcheting sound started. I removed all signs of strings, etc until the brushes rotated fine but when I started the Dyson the ratcheting started again. I have the DC 14 Animal.
ANSWER : The rattly sound means the drive belt has snapped or the protective clutch has slipped. This needs repair by someone who knows how to repair Dysons officially. Sadly its the kind of model that can’t be done by the owner.
Problem starting Sometimes will not start at all. Sometimes will do a quick start and stop. Other times it starts and runs fine????
ANSWER : This can happen if you have an intermittent short in your cord. Try plugging it in and then wiggling the cord around where it goes into the body of the vacuum with the switch set to “on.” (If you’re not sure whether it’s on or off, just click it back and forth occasionally.)
.If the motor kicks on there’s a short, which usually requires a cord replacement. If that’s the case, it’s a relatively simple fix for most dyson models.
.If not, you could have a short in your switch or somewhere else in the electrical system of the machine.

ANSWER : Its sounds to me like the computer board inside the machine has gone bad. Keep in mind that the filters in these machine do need to be replaced regularly to keep the vacuum working correctly. Any good vacuum shop should be able to fix your problem. Reguardless of what they might tell you there these really are one of the best machines on the market and definatly worth having repaired.
