Dyson DC27 Bagless Upright Vacuum\015 Hose works fantastic so I don't believe it's a blockage. Used on a carpet and got minimal dirt and pet hair (and I have 3 dogs so there should be MUCH more) Proceeded to try on bare floor and it's not picking up anything unless I turn on the brush and use it as a sweeper.\015

The Vacuum will not Stand Upright

Locate the u-bend cover, press the yellow release button, and look for any possible blockages. These blockages may be preventing the machine from locking in its upright position as well as reclining when already locked. See below link for visual guides.

Unplug the vacuum and use the Dyson Ball Animal Hose Replacement Guide to remove the vacuum`s hose and check for clogs at the base of the hose. Next, check the hose itself. Feel along-side the hose to check for a blockage. If a blockage is present, use a tool to pull out the blockage.
Dyson`s upright vacuum cleaner combines multi-floor capability, making it an optimal design for all floor types. From carpet to hard floors and delicate surfaces, the Dyson light ball multifloor+ is the best upright vacuum for every home and indoor space. Explore the Dyson light ball multifloor+.
TL;DR: On May 22, Dyson announced a new suite of home products(opens in a new tab) including upgraded cordless vacuums, air purifiers, and a robot vacuum. As of June 6, the Gen5 vacs(opens in a new tab) are the first models up for public purchase. Dyson is entering a new era in 2023.
A Dyson vacuum cleaner has a lifespan of around 10 years. This is considerably longer than most other vacuums. So, if you`re looking for a high-quality vacuum cleaner that will last you for a long time, a Dyson could be a good choice. However, remember that Dyson vacuums are expensive.
I can assure you that air coming out of the Ball is a normal feature of the machine, as this is where HEPA-filtered air is returned to the room. The exhaust air will often feel warm as it will have passed through the motor.
To add any Dyson attachment to your hose, simply slide the opening over the end of the wand. Rotate the attachment as needed to adhere it to the end of the wand. You will not hear a click or anything since the attachment relies on the tension between the 2 openings to stay in place.
If your dyson vacuum isn`t turning on, don`t panic – there are a couple possible causes. It could simply be that the vacuum overheated and shut itself off. If that is the case, wait 24 hours and turn it back on. However, another problem with dysons are failed power switches.
Cylinder vacuums are typically more powerful and have a larger dust capacity, so need emptying less frequently. They also have a larger cleaning radius — the length of the cord — than upright vacuums. That`s why you`ll find the professionals use this type of vacuum cleaner in offices and hotels.
Best Upright Vacuum – Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2. The Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 is a great multi-use vacuum, making it a solid choice as the best upright Dyson. It offers an incredible 250 AW (air watts) of suction, a lengthy 31′ cord, and self-adjusting height.
Dyson was designed and patented by a British, had it made in Malaysia (Johor Bahru), – as it is cheaper to make here.

The Dyson 2023 vacuum lineup features a new cleaner head

Dyson also announced a fifth generation of cordless vacuums, the Dyson Gen5detect and Dyson Gen5outsize. The new Dyson cordless vacuums deliver more powerful suction than ever before.

The best Dyson vacuum we`ve tested is the Dyson V15 Detect. This cordless stick/handheld vacuum`s headlining feature is its built-in dirt sensor, which counts and measures the size of particles sucked into the vacuum. You can see this information on the LED display at the back of its body.
Most problems arise because of a blockage – if not a dirty filter or cyclone unit, then something could be caught in the wand or the brush bar. Once again, the lack of suction could be caused by a dirty filter or a blockage somewhere in the vacuum`s system.
The average life expectancy of a mid-range vacuum cleaner is about six years. You can fix or replace things like blocked filters, jammed brush rolls, frayed hoses, worn-out stick vac batteries and broken accessories yourself.
Check the LED light to determine the battery level. A solid blue light indicates that the machine is in normal operating mode. A flashing blue light indicates that there is no power, and the battery needs to be charged for a minimum of 3.5 hours.
Why is there a hole in the middle? Because the motor and the filter are in the bottom of the handle. This is simple and genius because it`s actually balanced to be used by body builders and normal people alike. No need to do shoulder raises to prep or see a chiropractor to recover afterwards.
Dyson invested £2.5 billion in research and development.

While you might feel that this is the reason their products are expensive, you`re highly mistaken. This investment was mainly to accommodate a centre for their 1,200 employees, 22 laboratories, prototyping space, and areas for collaborative work.

The Dyson V6 is designed so that you can store the unit on the charger. Storing the Dyson on the charger will not harm the battery and it is not necessary to use the unit until the battery is depleted.
Remove the hose and check there is no blockage in the pipe. Hint: If there is suction from the hose but not the main base, there may be a blockage in the base connecting tube or the beater bar may not be rotating. Inspect the base of the vacuum cleaner for blockages and ensure that the belts are not broken.
If there is a strong burning smell coming from the motor area of your Dyson DC14 or DC07 then it is most likely that your motor has burnt out.
To reset the Brush bar press the Brush bar control button twice or switch the machine off and back on.
We recommend replacing your air purifier filter every 12 months. That`s because over time, filters can get clogged with pollutants, and even let unpleasant odors back into the room.

My hose no longer works no suction buth the vacuume still works how do i fix I checked the hose checked the filters nothing works to get my hose so it has suction.
ANSWER : Check the following after unplugging the power cord from the outlet..
.- Check for suction at the back of the unit, after removing the hose where it attaches to the back of the vacuum. If there is NO suction, the machine will need to be taken to a local Service Center for inspection.
.If there IS suction at the back of the machine with the hose removed, please check the following:
.Unplug the unit from the outlet.
.- Check the Pre and Post-Motor filters for debris. Dirty filters can restrict airflow. The pre-motor foam filter is square and located in a pull out tray underneath the dirt cup. The foam filter may be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent. Reinstall the filter when it is completely dry. The post-motor HEPA Media filter is rectangular and located on the side of the machine. Note: The white HEPA Media Post-Motor Filter is not washable.
– Ensure the dirt cup is empty.
– Check the upper tank for build up or clogs.
– Twist the inner cyclone to the left and pull down
– Wipe the inside of the upper tank and separator plate with a
damp cloth moistened with water or mild cleaning detergent.
– Once the inner cyclone is dry, lock back into the machine by
pushing up and turning to the right.
– Put the dirt cup back in
– Check for good suction at the end of the upholstery hose. If there is good suction, make sure the hose is firmly connected to the lower hose on the back of the vacuum. If there is no suction at the end of the hose, check the hose for splits, cracks or clogs.
– Make sure the brush is rotating. If it is not, remove the access plate and examine the brush, and belt for damage. The access panel can be removed by lifting the 4 tabs located at the bottom of your machine. Lift tab 1 then 2-4 tabs to remove the access panel.
.
.CLEARING CLOGS
– Detach the upper hose from the machine. Insert a broomstick into the hose to push any obstruction through to the opposite end.
– Remove the screw from the left side of the lower hose on the back of the unit, and straighten this section of hose by pulling it down or lay the unit out flat, and roll the unit on its side with the lower house towards the top side. Look through the hose for any obstructions. Push a broom stick through the lower hose to unclog.

Hose Problem The hose broke just above the cuff on the inlet end of the hose.  I found that the hose doesn’t thread into this cuff but appears to be heat bonded in some way. Can I get a replacement cuff or do I have to replace the hose?
ANSWER : Looks like you can just get the hose, part #38479-4, It should just screw into the adapter or it may be glued in.

Bissell 37604 Bagless Upright Vacuum. Hose keeps clogging every time I vacuum. Is there a way to prevent this?
I am ready to buy a new vacuum, but it does do a great job picking up hair…until it clogs. It clogs at top of hose. Could the hose be kinked? It does not look like it.
ANSWER : That is a defect in the design of that style of vacuum. I went back to my old vac because I got so tired of having to unstop it. The sharp turns in the hose and the molded plastic causes it. Find one without the turns.

I have a 2 fluorescent light fixture in my bathroom. The right side light quit working. I took the starter out of the left side and put it in the right and it worked. Starter, right? I bought a package of 2 Leviton starters FS 2 15w. They didn’t work. Thinking bad, I returned it for another package. Still not working. The original starter is a Sylvania FS 2. Is it possible to have FOUR bad “new” starters? Do I need to replace it with the EXACT same starter? This light fixture is 38 years old. No
ANSWER : It is not likely that you had 4 bad starters.I assume you have more modern lights in it too(not 30 yrs old). Here is a link to Sylvania. It may be just that it requires certain something(who knows what)that only Sylvania has.It seems strange because they are all basically the same and a generic one seems like it would work.I also googled flourescent light starters and under one that talked about operation,it did refer to some older models. But like I said,it probably has newer lights so who knows what the heck.Well, here you go.You may also just want to call Sylvania and ask where you can find a replacement instead of paying $5 to ship $2 worth of parts.

I purchased a brand new P113 Ryobi charger about 2 years ago. It has never worked. If I put a P104 battery in for a charge, it looks like it works correctly. I push the battery tester on the battery itself, and it says full charge, but when I go to use the bateery, it dies right away. I have tried three new P104 batteries. The batteries charge on my charger at work with no problem. The funny thing is, I don't need a battery in the charger and the charger does the same thing, It runs the test
ANSWER : If you have your receipt, check with Ryobi to see if it is still under warranty. It comes with either a 2 or 3 year warranty, depending on when it was purchased. If it is still covered, get it replaced/repaired. If it is not, buy the P117 charger. $30 at Home Depot. It has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. If it charges your batteries properly, you’re good. If not, bring it back if you don’t like/want it. My P113 won’t get out of test mode now, or charge Lithium batteries anymore. So I bought the P117 yesterday. Works great, and it’s a lot cheaper than new batteries! And it has a 3 year warranty.
