This is normal
Vacuum cleaners blow air out to keep the motor cool and this may feel quite warm. There is a safety cut out to switch the product of if there is a problem. If the product is not cutting out then it is ok!
The Commercial version has a longer power cable at 12.5metres long, whereas a standard Henry only has a 10-metre power cable. A stronger drum design intended for commercial applications. A bumper ring around the front wheels protects Henry should he bump into anything.
Driven by Henry`s powerful airflow, the AiroBrush leaves nothing in its tracks, easily picking-up stubborn dust, dirt and pet hairs from the carpet fibres.
For instance, it is quite normal for your vacuum cleaner to make a noise because: Change in air pressure resulting from the fan and suction – the fan of a vacuum cleaner turns at extremely high speeds as it collects dust and debris.
With excessive use and regular exposure to dust and dirt, the filters attached to the vacuum cleaner get grime on them. This dusty layer closes the way for air to pass through the channel. Thus, the machine puts a lot of effort and generates noise in excess to pass the air throughout the system.
Henry`s filter is clogged up – Henry vacuum cleaners have a pre motor filter which is washable. It`s a good idea to wash your filter every time you replace the bag. Simply wash it with warm water and replace the filter once it is completely dry.
Henry`s face was invented to help keep cleaning staff company. It is believed that when Chris Duncan developed the Henry vacuum cleaner in 1970– the same man who runs the company today, he did so with the intention to prevent late night and early morning cleaning workers from feeling lonely.
You can certainly use your Henry hoover without a filter but it`s definitely not a good idea to do so as it can cause damage to your vacuum cleaner as well as result in a dustier and dirtier living environment.
There`s no set time for how long a Henry hoover bag lasts; it really depends on how often you vacuum and how much dirt and dust your Henry has to collect.
It is recommended to leave the brush in the down position as it will have the effect of breaking up dirt on the carpet, ready to be vacuumed up by Henry`s powerful motor.

This bagged cylinder vacuum has a 97.5% high efficiency filtration system. Compact and light at 6.6kg, this vacuum cleaner rolls almost anywhere, cleaning carpets, rugs and hard floors. It has a 620 W motor with a 9L dust capacity and 260W suction power to grab the dirt and dust deep in the carpet.
If you listen very carefully, sometimes you can hear a “hiss” sound that is the signal of a vacuum leak. However, the most common way to notice this is when the engine loses fuel efficiency. The reason for this is due to the fact that vehicle exhaust is delayed on exiting the combustion chamber.
Hissing or Sucking Noises
Finally, you can hear an engine vacuum leak even if it is a minor one. Usually, when the leak isn`t too bad, you will hear hissing noises coming from the engine. This may also sound like whining sounds or whimpering sounds.
The most common problems found in vacuum cleaners are low suction force, excessive noise, burning smell, vacuum not turn on, and overheating. These issues can be fixed by either cleaning the device or replacing some parts of the device. At times, it is best to seek a professional to fix the cleaner effectively.
One of the most common reasons for your shark vacuum (and most vacuums for that matter) making a loud suction noise is because there is a blockage. They`re a very common issue, and easily fixed. Blockages occur when there is a large enough build up of dirt or dust that it blocks the air flow to the vacuum.
If the cleaner becomes noisy or starts vibrating, it may be because some debris has got tangled around the brush roll or agitator situated in the bottom of the cleaner.
Overtime your hose may become blocked up with hair, pieces of food and other sizable items, leaving suction on the Hoover to deteriorate and unpleasant smells to appear. You can detach the hose and leave it to soak overnight in a mixture of baking soda and water to neutralise the smell and breakdown the blockages.
If all you hear from the vacuum unit is a click at the when you try to start the vacuum motor from inside the house, then the motor in the unit is dead and has to be replaced. A strong odor from the shellac, which coats the copper coil windings, is an indicator that the motor is about to or has burnt out.
We recommend to replace your Henry filter at least every 12 months depending upon the amount of use. In between new filters you can clean your Henry filter to remove the dust and increase suction. You can learn how to clean your Henry filter here.
When you use a vacuum cleaner without a HEPA filter, these particles are stirred up and put back out into the air through your vacuum`s exhaust. Regular filters can`t remove these harmful particulates and this puts the people in your home at risk.
“You don`t need a HEPA filter to stop dust mite, and pollen particles, as they are relatively huge. Any good vacuum cleaner should stop cat hair and dander.” Animal hair will be picked up by conventional vacuums, even without a HEPA filter.
Current secondary-series vacuums
This is a list of current Henry models which are being manufactured in the secondary series, which means they have “Numatic” on their cap rather than a name (however, they still have a face on their bodies).
Henry is different from most vacuum cleaners in that it is designed to automatically give you eco-friendly, economy cleaning every time it`s turned on. Henry is built to meet the most stringent quality standards so it can be sold internationally.
The dust bags have been designed to be sealed and then disposed of; they are not reusable.
