Before you spend your time trying to go back over the same areas, hoping you`ll get it all cleaned up the second time around, check out your brush roll and belt. If you`ve cleaned your brush of any sticky stuff and hair, and it all looks fine, you`re likely dealing with a stretched belt.

One of the easiest ways to increase vacuum cleaner suction is to empty the dust bag or container. Dust containers need to have enough space for airflow, otherwise, they could get clogged and have less suction power. Not sucking We have an Oreck XL and today it is blowing out dust instead of sucking it up. I just replaced the belt and about 6 months ago, we took it to our Oreck dealer and had it rehauled. I opened it up to check all and it all looked fine. Then I tuned on the machine while unzipped and noticed that the bad does not inflate as it used to. What can I do? Thanks, Connie [email protected]
ANSWER : You probable have a clog in the handle tube, or at the bottom, either by the brush or in the neck where the handle goes into. Unscrew that big black nut and pull the handle off of the bootom asm, then you can check it out and see where the clog is. Pull the bottom plate off to see if it is there where the dirt goes in.
