Check to see if there is water in the water tank. If there isn`t, unscrew the water tank cap and use the filling flask to pour distilled water into the tank until it reaches the fill line. Replace the water tank cap and tighten. Power the device on, wait about 30 seconds for the water to heat up, and then try again.

Steam mopping over a painted surface is risky, even if the paint layer is sealed. The heat from the steam can cause bubbles beneath the paint, which may then peel. Best to avoid steam mopping on all painted floor surfaces.
Fill the Tank With Vinegar
Fill the tank with distilled white vinegar or cleaning vinegar. Avoid using other types of vinegar because they may have sediment that interferes with the cleaning process.

I can’t get my shark steam blaster model EP95 to create steam?
ANSWER : Pull the (3) coasters/feet out and unscrew the 3 screws. take off the one end of the steam”boiler” (two clamps). tilt open end up and pour white vinegar [carefully] in there, prop up so it does not fall over, and soak overnight. dump out lime and water scale and rinse out a couple of times. Be very careful to not get water on electrical parts.
Take an air pig and blow out the line (Black) from where you disattached it to where the steam comes out [at the handle]. Be sure to mark electrical connections [4 on one, 2 on the other] so you don’t blow a breaker switch like I did.

Parts replacement We have a Hoover Steam Vac that has a broken part #10 in your picture or Part # 37271035. Does this part cover the whole top section of the Vac? Is it hard to replace? Where can you get the best prices on Hoover parts? I have been on Hoovers website and they don’t even recognize this Steam Vac. which is hard to believe they don’t even recognize their own unit? The female part of the catch which holds the lid to the accessories compartment closed has broken. This forms part of the handle to the vacuum cleaner.We’ve had the vacuum for less than a year but cant find the receipt so i think i will just have to pay for the parts. Shark Steam Mop – Gray/ Purple Vacuum: shark steam mop has water, but there is no steam….
ANSWER : I tried running vinegar through as you would a coffee pot to get rid of hard water scales. This did not work. Then I noticed that the light behind the shark decal on the front of the machine was going off and on. And sure enough as I moved the cord around the light would come off and on. Looking closer I could see the the heat had melted thru some of the cord.I bought mine at Target before xmas last year, throwing away the sales slip after several months so I guess there is nothing I can do about it.

I broke the handle part of the shark steamer #53101. I don’t have the book to try to tell you the parts I need. Can you send me a picture or a copy of the steamer. It is purple. The above number may not be the correct one. It is broken in the center part. It has a little small circular piece that joins the two pieces which are broken. Parts Hi I have the Eurkea steam cleaner model 2450 and was wondering how do you take the front part off where you can see the water sucking up from carpet so this can be cleaned. Also I think the spring in the part that holds the water has come off another part is this able to be fixed or can I just purchase a new water holding tank and if so where?
