Electrolux UltraLux 2000 Bagged Canister Vacuum\015 My power nozzle will not work on my vac. It works on another vac. I tried the hose and powervac from the other vac and it will not work on my vac...So, if my hose all the way down to my power nozzle is fine why doesn’t it work on my vac? I can use the hose fine for sucking up things on my vac just not able to use the power nozzle. I have Ultralux 2000.\015

ANSWER : If pushing the reset button doesn’t help try having your local Aerus dealer check out the 2 prongs in the power head where it all connects. Sometimes they go bad.

ANSWER : FIRST OFF EACH OF YOU HAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MACHINE. ESPECIALLY THE OXYGEN WHICH IS MADE BY THE “NEW” ELECTROLUX. THE OTHER TWO ARE MADE BY THE “OLD” ELECTROLUX WHICH IN NOW CALLED AERUS. THE ADVICE WITH THE GUARDIAN TO GET IT SERVICED BY THE DEALER SINCE THE POWER NOZZLE IS PROBABLY STILL UNDER WARRANTY IS A GOOD IDEA. (THE 25 YR. WARRANTY DOESN’T APPLY TO THE WHOLE MACHINE SO YOU HAVE TO READ CAREFULLY WHATS COVERED. THE MAIN MOTOR DEFINITELY IS.)

The steam mop was only used 3 times.stopped working. It has now stopped working altogether. I have only had it for a month. Electrolux Epic 6500 SR …no power to power nozzle. I think it is the switch in the handle because if I use my friend’s hose/handle (same model), my power nozzle works fine when I turn on the switch. If you think it is the switch, can I get a part for it?

The power brush floor rug attachment on my Eureka 6997 A Oxygen Canister Vacuum goes on an off as I use it. I replaced the The power cord from the handle has 2 plug in connections:

ANSWER : This is from the prongs not making a good connection causing an arch inside the plugg causing what looks like rust on the plugg. I would try snugging up the connection by squeezing the female section to get a better connection on the prongs when it is plugged in together.

The motor on my Epic 6500 works, the hose is sucking, but the power head isn;t working… I tried the sidestep power head and that one works. Ive opened and replaced the belt and that is fine. Kenmore canister vacuum model 116-25512506. It has a 2 stage switch on the handle, the vacuum motor will not work, the carpet beater attachment does work, the vacuum motor will not cut on at all with either stage, 1st stage is vac only, 2nd is vac a carpet attachment. Carpet attachment will work, vac does not.

ANSWER : Try to find the reset button. It should be somwhere near the bottom area. It looks like a red dot that you can push inward. If you can press and hold the reset button, it will restart your suction and solve your problem.

I have a miele S712 (2 yrs old worked fine yesterday) – I had been doing some diy work inside and had the vac on just to reduce some of the dust in the air – after a while the vacuum fizzled out. ANSWER : You have got dust in the micro switch and it is not latching on, if you look at this and clean it, that will solve your problem, however blowing the motir has probably wrecked the motor bearings.
