Bread Machines bake bread in 2 to 4 hours. Two-hour loaves are done on a rapid cycle. Regular bread bakes in about 3-1/2 to 4 hours. Use the fruit and nut cycle for bread with add-ins like fruits, nuts, cheese and so on.
Manufacturers usually recommend adding the liquids first, followed by dry ingredients, with the yeast going in last. This keeps the yeast away from the liquid ingredients until kneading begins.
After the bread maker has been turned on, the programmed setting cannot be changed without cancelling the program. To change the setting, hold the “Start/Stop” button down. Then program the control as desired and turn back on.
Don`t worry about opening the bread machine mid-cooking cycle. Unlike doing so with a pressure cooker, you`re not going to interrupt the process or risk exploding parts—in fact, it`s critical to do so. Take a peek about 10 minutes into the dough kneading cycle to check the ratio of wet to dry ingredients.
Depending on the type of loaf you`re making, the dough rises for anywhere from 5 to 40 minutes. Then, a second kneading takes place, as does an additional rise for most cycles. Lastly, the bread maker bakes the bread to a light, medium, or dark crust depending on the selected setting.
Most bread machine manuals and cookbooks call for bread flour rather than all-purpose flour. King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour, because it`s higher in gluten than national brands of all-purpose flour, works perfectly in the bread machine.
Even if your all-purpose flour doesn`t have enough gluten, it`s okay to use it in the bread machine. Again, the worst that will happen is that your bread won`t rise as much as it would have with bread flour.
Some people state that the difference between a bread machine and a bread maker is that a bread maker generally only has one function: bake bread. On the other hand, a bread machine often has additional functions, such as making pizza dough or jam. The truth is that these terms are interchangeable.
You should get a bread machine if you need to make many loaves or need the extra convenience. Maybe you are tired of making bread by hand and have a busy schedule or have a physical disability. It could very well be a budget issue or you are just new to bread baking.
Bread makers really, really vary by make and model. But the main thing you need to know is that bread makers, generally, are machines that knead, rise, and bake your bread for you. All you have to do is dump your ingredients in and let the machine do all the hard work.

Elna Top 300 sewing machine. I need manual to operate this machine. I have already found out that Elna contracted with Tiwan(excuse my spelling) to make there machine between 1989-1991. I want to know which machine made in Switzerland is comperable to this one. Thanks…Audrey

I would love to know what knowledge you have gained about this machine. It does not appear to be an easy machine to find info on, may not have produced a lot? I had no idea it was not a European produced machine.

I have a new scoba (irobot) the battery is charged the tanks were fillied and every time i hit the power button and then clean the machines “check the tank” light came on. i have done all the proper instruction checks an i have done all the trouble shooting section. the machine will only work (and that is for 5 minutes drying its head) when i hit power and the clean button twice. so obviously the machine is somewhat working
ANSWER : We had to prime the sensor. irobot suggested a turkey baster, but we didn’t have oneso we used an empty visine bottle with the end snipped off and rinsed completely. this worked after the first try. thank you for your interest

I have an older model Bissell rug shampoo machine, model # 1631. I have several bottles of Bissell 5 One carpet formula to use in this machine, however I have lost the measuring bottle that tells me the amount of soap solution to use per 64 oz. bottle of water. Our beautiful Bernina 730 sewing machine has been stored in the garage in its original case, and that wrapped in plastic, for a few years now. Temperatures have been both hot and cold in the garage, but the environment was dust-free.
We have brought the Bernina in, set it up, oiled it as specified in the manual, with the original sewing machine oil. We have correctly threaded the machine and the bobbin thread is up.
When we press on the pedal to sew, the machine gets electricity and buzzes

From what you describe there can be only 2 causes…Either the machine is still stuck ..and the motor buzzes cause it can not spin it ..and in this case it needs to be oiled more..and be spun by hand until it moves well and free…and after that it will work ..or during the storage ..from condense or so ..the motor is stuck ..and needs to be checked…In this second case ..it probably need to be oiled too (the motor ) ..and the coils changed..

The instructions, maintenance, said to unscrew the bottom to empty refill tank.
I cannot screw it back because the piece it screwed into can not come out. It is inside the machine.

Model 2100 canister: Red light comes on to indicate bag is full and machine shuts off. The bag is empty…when I readjust bag, machine will start up again but shut down shortly.
