Vacuums\015 I have to repackage this item for return due to a defect. However, once you’ve installed the handle, it seems impossible to remove. I’ve tried removing all the screws that splits the handle into two sections, but the part that locks it in place is down into the base. How can I get the handle off?\015

To release the wand on the Hoover® REACT™ Powered Reach™ Plus press the Powered Reach™ Mode button on the top of the canister. This will allow you to remove the canister and access the wand release. The wand release button is located on the spine of the vacuum directly behind the dirt cup.
Hold the floor tool as best as you can using your foot and twist the metal pipe.. this should `break the bond`. As soon as you have movement after twisting the pipe, you should find that it pulls free.

My vacuum hose has split very close to the handle- how do I remove the handle, cut the hose at the split & reattach it to the handle unit – Centralux central vacuum system. Where can I find a diagram of how to remove the handle?
Do Not Cut the hose! It has wiring inside to control the vac and power head. This is a swivel handled hose with both low and high voltage contacts in it. The same wiring which gives the hose its ribbing, is conducting current for two applications,
If your hose has a switched handle, a very experienced, trained AERUS Electrolux tech will a have a tough time doing this job and will likely refuse as it is not recommended per company policy.
You can purchase a shrink wrap tube which will prolong the life of the hose if it has not collapsed, however this is a short term fix.
I could walk you through this as I have done it before …Unfortunately, even if you were able to dismantle the hose successfully you would not be able to purchase the wire terminals which you would cut off the end when shortening . Sorry its a proprietary part.
How do you remove the Handle from the Hoover Windtunnel Deluxe to replace the switch?
Removing the handle assembly should be easy after removal of the two screws. It may be binding or hanging up on the self-propel cable…or the plastic may just be stuck/binding. Note that the handle slides in and out of the vacuum unit along the same axis as the two screws (i.e. slides straight off the back towards you when you are standing behind the vacuum). Try to pry it off gently w/thin-bladed screwdriver or butter knife (careful now!). Not sure about the smoking issue but you may have a severely plugged filter and the unit is overheating as a result. Check that out immediately/first to avoid fire or expensive motor burnout.
Hoover on off switch won’t turn off. I have to unplug the vacuum to stop it. I have dismantled the handle and now I can’t get the inditation in the handle to fit over the little silver knob. I saw there was an on/off switch under the handle that is controlled by a piece of the handle.
#1 question for the manufacturer is why don’t they put the switch on the outside instead of having gimicks that turn it on and off… arghhhhhhhh
Don’t know what model you have, but sounds like you will need to replace the switch. As far as your question, you will have to contact the manufacture for an answer. We only provide solutions to your problem and a model number would have helped.
The mechanical off/on in the handle is not working with the electrical on/off switch upon removal of the handle you can cut the machine off by hand but after ensuring the the handle is re-placed in the proper position the machine will not turn off so what new handle or is the rocker switch has worn is now to hard for the mechanical switch to operated

Hoover floormate Hi, I’m not sure what the model number is on my Hoover Floormate, but I can’t get the cleaning liquid to dispense. The vacuum(dry pickup works fine). The handle squeezes without a problem. It used to work without a problem and then I didn’t use it for awhile. When I came back to it, it wasn’t working. Thanks, Alissa
The tank sits on what is called the reservior asm. it is actuated by the control rod inside the handle. With the tank off, watch and see if you can see that rod hitting the reservior asm when you squeeze the trigger. If it is moving up and down on it, then the resorvior asm may be bad. Also check the valve at the bottom of the tank, manually push it in and see if it releases water.
Hoover Floormate SpinScrub won’t dispense cleaning liquid
I had the same problem and was preparing to take it back, the last thing I tried was to ‘reseat’ the handle — I removed it then snapped it very firmly back into place. That did it, it’s working beautifully now!

Hoover Floormate–Does not pick up water. – Hoover Floormate H3000 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum
First make sure that you are getting suction from the bottom of he machine. Most of the time the squeegee is worn out which does not allow it to pick up the water like it use to. Turn over the machine and inspect .the squeegee. If it looks worn or bent then it may be time to replace .it. You may also consider replacing the filter. These are the two most. common parts that wear out.
