Error five (5) means the left wheel cannot turn. Please check the following: If Roomba® is stuck under an obstacle, move it to a new location and press CLEAN to restart. Use Dual Mode Virtual Wall® Barriers to block off problem areas.
Charging error five (5) means your robot`s charging system isn`t working correctly. Check that you are using an authentic iRobot® battery. Charging errors can occur with counterfeit batteries. If playback doesn`t begin shortly, try restarting your device.
Charging error two (2) means a fault has been detected and your Roomba® or Braava® battery is not charging. The error indicator will vary by model. To clear the error, run the robot or remove and reinstall the battery. Check robot and Home Base for liquid damage.
Charging error three (3) means your Roomba®/ Braava® charging system on the robot isn`t working properly, and your robot may need to be replaced. If the error persists, please contact iRobot Customer Care for assistance.
Charging error five (5) means your Robot`s charging system isn`t working correctly. Please remove and reinstall the battery to clear this error. Note: Confirm that you are using an authentic Robot® Lithium-Ion Battery. Unknown charging errors can occur with aftermarket purchased batteries.
Error five (5) indicates that one or both of the side wheels cannot turn. Check the side wheels for obstructions. Push the wheels up and down several times and shake out any loose debris that may be trapped in the wheel well.
Charging Error Four (4) means no charge current is being received by the robot. A Robot reboot will usually resolve this issue. To reboot your Roomba: Press and hold the CLEAN button for 20 seconds.
Error 2 means the rubber brushes in your Roomba are clogged and need to be cleaned.
Error six (6) means that your s Series Roomba is stuck over an edge, or is on a threshold. Move your s Series Roomba to a new location, then press CLEAN to restart. You may need to use a Virtual Wall® to block off problem areas. If this does not resolve the issue, the cliff sensors may be dirty.
Error nine (9) means the bumper is stuck and is not moving freely. Briskly tap the bumper several times to dislodge any debris that may be trapped underneath, and then press CLEAN to restart. If no debris is found, it is also possible the bumper could be dislodged from the robot.
Error three (3) means your j series robot is on an obstacle or an uneven surface and the Right Wheel is stuck. If this is the case, lift your Roomba® off the floor, place it in the center of the room, and restart the clean cycle.
Roborock Error 5: Make sure that there is nothing tangling up the main brush, including inside the two brush installation slots and at either end of the brush, then run the robot with Carpet mode enabled and see if the problem has been resolved.
Error 19 means your Roomba is experiencing an issue undocking from the Home Base. Clear any obstacles that may be in front or around the Home Base, then press the button. If the message persists, please perform a robot reboot by removing the battery from the robot for 60 seconds, then reinsert the battery.
Error eleven (11) means the Roomba (e or i series) vacuum is experiencing insufficient airflow. If the error persists, please reboot the robot by holding the clean button for about twenty (20) seconds.
Error 10 means a side wheel cannot turn. Please check the following: If Roomba gives this error when it is stuck under an obstacle, move Roomba to a new location and press CLEAN to restart. Use a Virtual Wall® to block off problem areas.
To clear the error from your robot, ensure the Bin Full Sensors inside the bin well have been properly cleaned. To do so, remove the Filter from the Bin and rinse the Bin and bin door with water and let air dry. Next, wipe the Bin Full Sensors with a clean, dry microfiber or soft cotton cloth.
Charging Error 6 indicates the battery is not charging. Check that you are using an authentic battery. Charging errors can occur with counterfeit batteries. Ensure that Roomba is being charged at room temperature.
Error twenty-four (24) means your Roomba is on an obstacle or an uneven surface and the wheels are spinning, but the robot is not moving. If this is the case, lift your Roomba off the floor, place it in the center of the room and restart the clean cycle.
Charging Error 7 indicates the battery is not charging. Check that you are using an authentic iRobot® Lithium Ion Battery. Charging errors can occur with counterfeit batteries. Ensure that Roomba is being charged at room temperature.
Verify there is no debris build-up on the charging contacts. If found, clean the charging contacts on both the Roomba® and the Home Base® with lightly dampened melamine foam. Examine Home Base®/Clean Base® line cord and check for any damage such as cuts, or fraying. Ensure the plug is securely inserted into the outlet.
If pressing the “Empty Bin” button on the app does not activate the Clean Base™, reboot your robot by pressing and holding the CLEAN button for up to 20 seconds. You should do so until the light ring indicator turns off, at which point you can release.
Error 14 or 1-4 means Roomba® is not detecting an installed bin. Please check the bin contacts: Confirm that the bin is installed properly. Wipe the bin contacts on both the bin and robot with a clean, lightly dampened melamine foam, such as a Magic Eraser.
Error one (1) means your robot is on an obstacle or an uneven surface and a side wheel is stuck. If this is the case, lift your robot off the floor, place it in the center of the room, and restart the clean cycle. If this error occurred on a flat surface, check the wheels for obstructions.
Error 50 means your robot tried to detect the pad that is attached when beginning a cleaning job, but the pad detection sensor timed out. Ensure the pad is properly installed and you are using iRobot Authentic Pads when running your robot mop. If the error persists, please contact iRobot Customer Care.

Roomba Discovery My Roomba turns on and moves but the brushes won’t turn. Someone told me that I had forgotten to put in the yellow and black end bearings, but I did. Help, I miss my Roomba
I have a Roomba 530, I have had it for 2 weeks and really loved it. I have followed all the cleaning instructions etc.. Then the Roomba wanted it’s brushes cleaning “please clean Roombas brushes” So thinking that something was stuck I removed and cleaned the brushes, (yellow tabs on and in place by the way)
ANSWER : I read somewhere that you need to clear the software in case there is a glitch. To do this, take the battery out and then, simultaneously hold down the “spot” and “clean” buttons for 30 seconds. Replace battery. This has worked for my Discovery model.

Battery charge I just purchased a new battery pack insert for my Roomba, Replacement
was a breeze and it now works great. My question is; The last battery I
bought ( not from you) was a full cased roomba battery pack that didn’t
last a year. Roomba says leave the r Roomba charging all the time so
it’s ready when you need it, and that’s nice but I feel that leaving it
charging like that it will kill the battery faster as it is always warm
to the touch. These battery’s should last at least 5
ANSWER : Dave you are correct. You should never over-charge anything like a Roomba, Cel Phone, etc. That will kill a bettery very quickly.

My Roomba 560 does not automatically dock as advertised either..
ANSWER : You may not believe this, but the new 500 series lighthouse virtual walls have both infrared and radio frequency communication. How they work and associate with the Roomba is pretty complicated. The best posting I’ve ever seen about how they work is here:
http://www.robotreviews.com/chat/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11048

Check out that link to understand how the communication works.

If your Roomba is contained by the virtual walls, then you can assume the IR sensor on your Roomba us good….you should test that though. Then you might have to replace the “home base” which could have a bad IR transponder . New ones can be found for reasonable price at www.RoboticVacParts.com or you could order straight from iRobot for twice the price.

If the Roomba is not contained by the virtual walls, then the IR sensor on the Roomba is likely bad and you’ll need to change the bumper on your Roomba. Again ….parts are available through ebay, or www.RoboticVacParts.com. Follow this link if you need it.

Battery temperature sensor.
ANSWER : 1. Battery configuration is incredibly important and must be matched to the requirements of the device.
.
.2. Battery charging is as much an art as a science. Just slapping any old power supply on a battery pack to charge it is essentially technical sue-ee-side.
.
.Yes, the car battery folks make it look easy; but many, many millions of dollars and development hours went into that simple-looking technology just for that reason: to make it look easy.
.
.You may have damaged the batteries and probably damaged the circuit board as well. There is a reason that companies spend millions in development. Unless you have a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, you should stick to factory-designed and -authorised parts.
