iRobot Roomba Red 4100 Bagless Robotic Vacuum\015 When working….When you turn on the Roomba the battery light will be on green. Then when you click clean it will start cleaning for about 5 seconds then stops. The battery light will be on red and the status light will be blinking also. The only way you can get it to work is taking out the battery and putting it back in. But then it will stop after a while if it gets stuck or something like that sometimes when it hits carpeting it will cause it to stop and when you move it and press cleans it will give you this one beep. When your turn it off and on the same lights will be on and you can't get it to start unless taking out the battery. I clean it many times with an air compressor, cleaned out the brushed, and emptied the bin and cleaned the filter. Any solutions?\015

Your Roomba may be experiencing an issue where the APS Battery is deeply discharged and may need to charge longer than the standard 2.5 hours.
Once they have enough battery power, they will continue cleaning. When it finishes its cleaning session: The robot vacuum knows when it is done cleaning your house because it has a mapping algorithm that knows the size of your house, the size of the area swept, the cleaning speed, the collisions and turns it makes.
End Job: The robot will automatically end its job once you get home*. Off: If you turn off the `When I return home` toggle, the robot will continue its cleaning job with no interruptions.
In general, these robots will use a series of colors to indicate their current status. White – I`m awake and everything is normal. Blue – I`m doing something special. Red – There`s a problem.
If a malfunction occurs during the cleaning process, the ring-shaped indicator of the device will flash rapidly in red and the voice message will turn on.
Note: Pause Cleaning When Full. If you have a Clean Base™ with a compatible robot, this will be the default setting. As soon as the bin is full, Roomba® will pause its cleaning job and return to its base. Once the bin is emptied, press CLEAN to resume.
If your Roomba® i Series Robot Vacuum is not turning on or is not able to charge, rebooting your robot tends to solve most related issues. To reboot your Roomba: Press and hold the CLEAN button for 20 seconds. After you release the button, the light ring will show a white clockwise swirl while it reboots.
Most owners believe that running their robot vacuums four times per week is sufficient to keep the floors dust-free. However, if you have children or pets, you should use your robot vacuum more frequently. Daily vacuuming is recommended if you suffer from seasonal allergies.
You can easily check the status of the battery in the iRobot® HOME App. A battery icon will be displayed in the top-right corner, indicating the current status of the battery.
Charging time under normal conditions is at least 2 hours. For best results, use only the battery type compatible with your robot and ensure that it is an authentic iRobot Lithium Ion/NiMH battery that comes with Roomba or purchased from iRobot authorized dealers.

Battery charge I just purchased a new battery pack insert for my Roomba, Replacement
was a breeze and it now works great. My question is; The last battery I
bought ( not from you) was a full cased roomba battery pack that didn’t
last a year. Roomba says leave the r Roomba charging all the time so
it’s ready when you need it, and that’s nice but I feel that leaving it
charging like that it will kill the battery faster as it is always warm
to the touch. These battery’s should last at least 5
ANSWER : Dave you are correct. You should never over-charge anything like a Roomba, Cel Phone, etc. That will kill a bettery very quickly.
