Roomba Robotic Floor Bagless Vacuum\015 My Rooma Discovery 4210 has one slow-moving wheel–one of the two spins just find, the other slowly. I can’t find an obstruction, but I can’t see what might be lurking between the wheel and the black plastic that covers it, either. I called and Roomba told me the wheels of the Discovery models can’t be fixed and suggested I buy a new Rooma 500-series, which has fixable wheels. They didn’t recommend trying to repair the wheel. Well. Thanks, Roomba. Given that this machine is otherwise useless, any suggestions on how to get that wheel unstuck?\015

Check the wheels for obstructions. Push the wheels up and down and shake out any loose debris that may be trapped in the wheel well. Briskly turn both wheels by hand and make sure they turn freely and that each wheel exhibits the same amount of resistance.
Robot vacuums are packed with sensors to help them avoid objects, and many advanced models can also judge if there is clearance to make it under furniture. But these features don`t always work as planned, and homes can have many different kinds of furniture with varying heights. So, sometimes robovacs get stuck.
With a little effort, you can pull the Roomba`s front caster wheel right out of its chassis, no tools required.
Introduction. The front caster wheel is the wheel that leads the Roomba over all of the dirt and debris so that the vacuum can pick it up.
Error nine (9) means your s Series Roomba bumper is stuck and is not moving freely. Your robot may exhibit behavior such as backing up or spinning in an unexpected manner. Briskly tap the Bumper several times to dislodge any debris that may be trapped underneath, and then press CLEAN to restart.

Robot vacuums are handy tools for keeping your home tidy without much effort. But they often get stuck or trapped by common household objects.
Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni In our testing, it cleaned for up to 145 minutes in Auto mode before running low on juiceāa good battery life result. It never got stuck on common obstacles like power cords and long curtains, and had no trouble sucking up dust, hair, and other debris.
Check if the bearings on the brush holder are rusted or broken. If broken then it`s better to replace the brushes. The side brushes of a robot vacuum cleaner usually collect the long strains of hair and other debris. As a result, They are prone to get clogged and stop moving.
Most wheeled robots use differential steering, which uses separately driven wheels for movement. They can change direction by rotating each wheel at a different speed. There may be additional wheels that are not driven by a motor these extra wheels help keep it balanced.

Roomba Discovery My Roomba turns on and moves but the brushes won’t turn. Someone told me that I had forgotten to put in the yellow and black end bearings, but I did. Help, I miss my Roomba
I have a Roomba 530, I have had it for 2 weeks and really loved it. I have followed all the cleaning instructions etc.. Then the Roomba wanted it’s brushes cleaning “please clean Roombas brushes” So thinking that something was stuck I removed and cleaned the brushes, (yellow tabs on and in place by the way)
ANSWER : I read somewhere that you need to clear the software in case there is a glitch. To do this, take the battery out and then, simultaneously hold down the “spot” and “clean” buttons for 30 seconds. Replace battery. This has worked for my Discovery model.
Roomba wheel — stuck
ANSWER : I had a similar problem, I just took my Roomba Red apart and put it back together about four times before I fixed it. In my case it turned out to be a dirty sensor, fixed as described at.

.Before you open it up I recommend following the diagnostic tests to see if its a physical problem (bad motor belt, hair stuck around the wheel) or a sensor problem (dirt makes Roomba think it is stuck when it isn’t). If you follow the diagnostics one of them will move the Roomba wheels while ignoring the sensors; if the wheels move fine then you probably have a sensor problem..

Roomba circles My Roomba circles for a few minutes, then beeps 9 times and stops. A red exclamation mark appears on the left hand side of the controls. If you persist in restarting it, eventually I have been asked to clear Roombas wheels. As far as I can see, there isn’t anything blocking the wheels.
ANSWER : Yes, this is known issue and if your bumper moves freely, you might be facing a sensor fault caused by poor quality of components.

Oreck XL How to remove rear wheel. Removed all viewable hair, thread, etc., but one wheel is still hard to turn. I think there’s hair stuck inside the wheel core. Can I remove the wheel & take it off the metal post?
ANSWER : You can take a medium size flathead screwdriver and slide it in beside the wheel and under the pin. Then pry carefully on one side and then the other it will start to come out but work both sides alternately so you won’t put too much pressure on the plastic. Once it is out you can clean it and put it back in. Line up the pin and use a blunt end tool like a punch to tap it back in. You can use the same screwdriver but don’t hit it too hard. You can tell when it is in all the way when it bottoms out. Make sure you look closely at it before you take it out so you will know what it is suppose to look like.

I have a rear wheel that came off too. The wheel seems fine, but the plastic base that the wheel clicks onto on the underside of the vac seems to have cracked. I need a new plastic bottom. Any ideas?
