If your Roomba® i Series Robot Vacuum is not turning on or is not able to charge, rebooting your robot tends to solve most related issues. To reboot your Roomba: Press and hold the CLEAN button for 20 seconds. After you release the button, the light ring will show a white clockwise swirl while it reboots.
Roomba® i3+ EVO Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum

Takes care of dirt and messes with the 3-Stage Cleaning System and navigates carpet and hard floors in neat rows.

What should I do if the remote control doesn`t work? – Replace the batteries in the remote control. – Make sure the main power switch on the bottom of RoboVac is in the “I” position. – Make sure RoboVac is fully charged.
Con: They can be less reliable and harder to fix

Not only do they need more regular maintenance (cleaning out wheels and brushes, for example), you`ll need to replace the battery every couple of years, and they can be harder and more expensive to fix.

While the iRobot® HOME App provides many benefits, a Wi-Fi or App connection is not required for Roomba® and Braava jet® to clean.
On average, a well-maintained robotic vacuum cleaner can last up to 4-6 years, but some models may last even longer.
Conclusion. A robot vacuum cleaner is a great addition to your home and provides you with more time to do the things you enjoy most – that is unless your thing is vacuuming! Robot vacuums are compact and will not take up too much additional space in your home and are a great addition to your home cleaning arsenal.
Perhaps you`ve moved, or want to bring your Roomba along to clean a guest house or vacation home. Maybe you have a multi-story house and want to keep it swept and tidy. iRobot has made it pretty simple to create floor plans for all your spaces. You can label rooms and even set cleaning schedules for each area.
Robot vacuums are generally very safe to use as long as you follow the manufacturer`s instructions and take a few sensible precautions before and during use.
Ensure proper maintenance on the rubber brushes, and filter is also being performed. If the brushes are not spinning properly, this could cause Roomba® to fail to pick up debris off the floor.
With proper care, your robot`s battery should last at least 2-3 years before it needs to be replaced. Here are some battery maintenance tips to extend battery life and keep Roomba® cleaning at peak performance: Only use iRobot® batteries.
The most common problem with a vacuum cleaner is also the easiest to remedy: clogs in the hose or attachments. Also the electrical cord, motor, switch, fan, brushes, and motor bearings can all need repair or replacement. The drive belt may need replacing; and the attachments, hoses, and filters may need unclogging.
If the indicator light is a flashing blue light and the RoboVac still appears offline in the app after the device has restarted, please try removing the device from the app, resetting the machine`s WiFi until you hear a voice prompt/beep, and then re-adding the device to verify if the issue can be resolved.
Verify there is no debris build-up on the charging contacts. If found, clean the charging contacts on both the Roomba® and the Home Base® with lightly dampened melamine foam. Examine Home Base®/Clean Base® line cord and check for any damage such as cuts, or fraying. Ensure the plug is securely inserted into the outlet.
Most owners believe that running their robot vacuums four times per week is sufficient to keep the floors dust-free. However, if you have children or pets, you should use your robot vacuum more frequently. Daily vacuuming is recommended if you suffer from seasonal allergies.
A smart robot vacuum can be used to spot and clean specific areas of your home, like entrances, dead corners underneath the sofa and bed, or even dining tables.
A: I left mine unattended, and the result is exceptional. It docks itself afterward, and the invisible walls work great. No scratch on my Roomba except on the rubber part. Helpful?
iRobot Roomba vacuums can operate even with simple ambient light, but not in total darkness.
Besides regularly cleaning the brushes on your Roomba, you`ll also need to replace them from time to time. iRobot recommends replacing the two main brushes every six to twelve months.
Applicable for those products

In this way, the vacuum can always be ready and cleaned on schedule daily. If you are leaving for a long time, like one week, it`s recommended to unplug the adapter and the charging base/auto-empty station and turn off the main power switch of your RoboVac for safety.

If its battery gets low before finishing a cleaning cycle, Roomba® automatically returns to the Home Base®/Clean Base™ to recharge, providing that it was started from its Home Base®/Clean Base™.
Yes. The robot cleaner work without Wi-Fi and can carry out full-home cleanups, spot cleanups, and return to the dock with the push of a button. Connecting to Wi-Fi enables advanced features including scheduled cleaning, suction power strength selection, and more.
Roombas can usually handle low-profile rugs just fine, but sometimes they will automatically avoid rugs, sensing them as an obstacle. To avoid robot vacuums getting caught on rugs, you can set digital boundaries via the Roomba app (other robot vacuum apps may have this feature, but it`s not guaranteed).
Roomba® uses light touch bumper technology to identify walls and other obstacles. This technology allows your robot to slow down and gently touch the obstacle with its bumper before changing direction.

I purchased a brand new Eureka Pet vacuum, sorry don’t know exact name but it the one that has the self cleaning duster on it. Last night I used the vacuum on my carpet, it was working fine until I accidently sucked up the corner of a scarf that was hanging off a couch. I shut the vacuum off, pulled out the scarf and and resumed vacuuming. Much to my dismay the suction on the vacuum had ceased. Can you tell me if there is a reset button on the vacuum? The vacuum does not appear to be damage
ANSWER : If the motor is running, there should be suction. Possible problems depend on whether it’s a canister or upright and are:
.A clog in the hose, UR or canister. Detach hose. Drop small coin in one end and lift hose causing it to roll out the other. If it does, no clog in hose. Drop same coin into hose opening on power head. If it rolls out, no clog in PN.
.Broken fan blades, UR. Needs to be taken to shop for repair/replacement.
.
.A reset button is for use if the motor isn’t running, so won’t have anything to do with the suction.

Suction Problem I was vacuuming and stopped to empty the cannister. When I started vacuuming again – the suction wasn’t working properly. The vacuum was just pushing stuff around the floor. I cleaned the hair out the brush on the bottom and it still isn’t working. It was working fine before I emptied the tube 🙁 I can’t figure out what happened.Help!
ANSWER : Greetings from GoVacuum,
.
.I believe what may have happened is that your vacuum cleaner belt has either broken, or been stretched so far that ithe brushes are no longer spinning fast enough.
.
.Here’s what you should do to diagnose this problem.
.
.1. Take the suction hose out of the back of the vacuum (assuming that your vacuum has on-board tools), and see if you have any suction coming from the hose. If you do, this indicates your belt is bad.
.
.2. If you don’t have suction coming from the hose, then it may be something as simple as replacing the filters, to a clog in the vacuum, or to your motor going bad.
.
.In my professional opinion though I would say from what you stated that the belt is mostly likely going to be your issue. If you can provide me the model number of your vacuum cleaner, I can walk you through step by step on ow to replace the belt.
.
.I have posted a short YouTube video on a vacuum belt change, this is not for all vacuums, but it will give you some idea of how to change a belt;

The original belt on my upright Kenmore Progressive broke and I replaced it with the spare that was in the vacuum. The vacuum and spare belt are about 10 years old. Then the spare broke after one vacuuming session and there was a burning smell coming from the vacuum. I ordered new belts and replaced it with the new belt. It seems to be working fine with no smell. I checked the belt after I vacuumed the family room and although it was in tact, the belt was very hot. Is that normal? Should t

Electrolux Epic 6500SR Full Bag sensor working, Does not Reset properly
ANSWER : The problem was a sticking switch that was not being reset. The vacuum on/off switch mechanism is comprised of two switches. One is the main switch that turns the vacuum on and off. The second is a shut off switch that gets tripped when the full bag sensor is engaged. This second switch is supposed to get reset when you push the on/off switch on the outside of the machine. The full bag shutoff switch was stiff and it, therefore, was taking a couple of presses of the on/off switch to move the shutoff switch back into the running position.

Some hoses have a plug at the wall inlet end that plugs into a 120Volt receptacle built into the inlet. The hose plugs into this receptacle when you push the hose into the inlet. The power for this built-in receptacle is wired with line voltage when the system is installed.
