iRobot 5800 Scooba Vacuum\015 I purchased a Scooba from someone brand new, never out of the box. It worked about four times and did a great job! After about a week it just would not turn on. It shows that it is charging and then fully charged but when I unplug the charger and push power I get nothing. No light, no beep, nothing. I tried contacting iRobot for help but received no response. I finally figured it was the battery (dated 2005) and purchased a new battery. It arrived last night, I installed it and pushed power. It came on right away which confirmed to me that the other one was just dead. Well, I go to put the Scooba on this morning and again, nothing. Nada. No power. Anyone? Thanks so much!\015

If your Roomba® i Series Robot Vacuum is not turning on or is not able to charge, rebooting your robot tends to solve most related issues. To reboot your Roomba: Press and hold the CLEAN button for 20 seconds. After you release the button, the light ring will show a white clockwise swirl while it reboots.

If your roller is not spinning, the first step is to remove the roller and free any debris. Refer to your model`s user manual on how to remove the roller from your vacuum head. Charging error twenty (20) means your robot`s battery was not initialized upon charging. Remove and re-install your battery to resolve the issue. If the error persists, contact iRobot Customer Care for additional assistance.
The most common problem with a vacuum cleaner is also the easiest to remedy: clogs in the hose or attachments. Also the electrical cord, motor, switch, fan, brushes, and motor bearings can all need repair or replacement. The drive belt may need replacing; and the attachments, hoses, and filters may need unclogging.

The beater bar on my Dyson won’t turn. The vacuum runs and suctions but the bar won’t turn and the belt is not broke. The beater bar did get a carpet fiber caught and wrapped around it which stopped the bar and I removed the bar to cut the fiber loose and replaced it and now it won’t turn

My Fein won’t turn on without rapping it on the floor ! I turn the switch on and it won’t run until I tap or rap it and will shut off during operation. Infinity Vaccum by Shark, model number NV31COS, will not start. The vacuum was running just fine until it grabbed the edge of a curtain. Turned it off to release the suction.
