Instead of depositing soapy water on the carpet, the Kirby Multi-Surface Shampoo System works a thick foam onto the carpet fibers. This scrubs and emulsifies any caked-on dirt and grime. The dirt and thick foam is then collected in the Multi-Surface Shampoo System tray.
The Kirby shampoo takes 2 hours to completely dry, at the most. I also noticed that clean-up was a lot easier. The Kirby shampoo rinses away clean with just cold water, taking the dirt with it.

It’s been awhile since I have used my shampoo system on my Ultimate G series Kirby. Well, as instructed I took it apart and cleaned it. Now I can?t figure out where to put the ?screen cap? and ?sponge filter?. I have my manual in front of me and the only place it shows the filter and sponge (page 35 in the manual) is when it?s been taken apart to clean. It doesn?t show where to put it back. I don?t know what I would do without all the pictures in the Kirby manual. HELP! Thanx. Visual Kirby Vacuu

Need a cheaper alternative shampoo for kirby vacuum system. Has to be an encapsulating shampoo. Kirby shampoo is too dear and only does one room per bottle. Need to know where to get some in australia as the postage from america is 3 times the price of the shampoo. thanks

This was my grandmothers machine and when she passed there was no owners manual so I am not sure how to use the settings on it or oil it properly. I so want to use it cause it was hers but don’t want to mess up the machine. She never even got a chance to use it before she passed away. I just have no owners manual. No water coming out…shampoo does though…even when I have it on rinse!! ERRRRRRR!!! Please help…I called to have it repaired…and well I’m broke!!! SO HELP ME PLEASE B4 I THROW IT OUT THE WINDOW!!!!
ANSWER : I know three people including me who have had the same problem. Mine is currently in pieces. My girlfriend replaced her belts and hers works now. I replaced my belts to no avail. Hand tool works, so it;s not the pump. Have to get it back together as before I noticed the back end of the hood was not down tight. That could be the problem, if I can get it back on there. Will write again if that is it.
