First, check to make sure the clean tank has water and/or the water & formula mixture in the tank. If your tank is empty, this could be the reason your machine is not spraying. You will need to fill your clean tank again. Reseat the tank and ensure it sits snug on the machine.
Your dirty water tank may not be secured tightly. Check the rubber tab on the dirty water tank and press firmly on all edges to secure it tightly. The accessory hose door also needs to be closed securely. Check the door and make sure it is locked in place.
Your Vax carpet cleaner may not be picking up water because the machine has picked up too much grime, and has become blocked up. Check around the head of the carpet cleaner for anything obvious that might make the suction on the Vax weaker, or look for clumps of hair that could be caught in the bristles.

I have a Bissell Pro 2x carpet cleaner. The water heats properly as well as spraying the cleaning product. However, when I go to suction the water from the carpets, the 2 in 1 water tank bladder works properly but there is no dirty water outside the bladder. I have only used this carpet cleaner ~ 5 times and in the beginning I had to empty the suctioned water quite frequently as it was dirty and it could not not hold any more water. We have a Bissell Pro-Heat 9200 2X Carpet Shampooer. When you start to shampoo the carpet it runs water for a minute and then quits and won’t spray any more water.
ANSWER : The heater is clogged. Take off body assembly. There is a silver part in there the size of a dollar bill. with seven screws. That the heater element. It is clogged known problem on there bissels. Crappy design for one. But most causes are not useing bissel fluid and city water with high calcium and floride. Also clean inlet and out let ports with asmall drill bit. takes about an hour and 14 screws.
My Bissell Proheat Turbo puts out too much water and cleaner and won’t **** it back up like it should. Also when I use the attachments dirty water runs out the the hose when I am done. It’s used a lot, I shampoo all the carpets about 2 times a month and I shampoo the funiture 1 time a month. I bought it about 3 months ago.

I have a bissell quickwash 1950-e. I bought it Jan. 2006, and have only used it 8-10 times, I live in a very hard water area, so I though if I put some vinegar in with the cleaning solution it would get rid of any hard water deposits, unfortunatly the solution went lumpy in the tank and stoped spraying out water, I have opened it, hose clean, sprayer not blocked, x at bottom of water container when depresed water trickles out, component that opens the x when water container placed, also ran wate
ANSWER : Hard to say what is causing your problem, replacing the cap and insert on the water tank may help, part #2041111, even tho it may trickle out water when depressed, they can still be bad. The other thing would be the rod not relesing the water like it should. The big draw back to this model is Bissell has obsoleted all of its parts and most are no longer available. Might be wiser to buy new.
Water is not being discharged. I have filled the reservoir that holds the carpet cleaner fluid And I have filled the water container. I know how to use the cleaner, it has always worked, But now, no water is being discharged to the carpet. I turn it on, squeeze the trigger, but nothing comes out. The wheel that is suppose to spin (to indicate that water is being discharged) is not spinning. Everything else works. I.e. the suction works, and the hand held accessories work.

I have a Bissel 9300-C 0714 BC Carpet Shampooer. It was working great and all of a sudden it stopped working. It still sucks up dirty water but it does not spray water onto the carpet.
