The air filter traps particles as the air travels through the vacuum cleaner. If the filter is clogged, the vacuum cleaner will not have proper suction. If your vacuum filter is clogged, refer to your owner`s manual for cleaning instructions.

Inspect the vacuum hose for any small holes, kinks, or cracks. Any cracks or holes will decrease the amount of suction in the hose and will not allow the carpet extractor to properly remove liquid from the floor. The hose will need to be replaced if there is damage.
To clean a foam filter, submerge it in water, squeeze it to allow the dirt to escape the foam, and allow it to air dry before putting it back in your vacuum. If you want the room to smell really nice next time you`re vacuuming, add a few drops of essential oil to the foam.

Dust containers need to have enough space for airflow, otherwise, they could get clogged and have less suction power. Regularly check your dust compartment and empty or change it when it`s already 70-80% full.
Plugged vacuum hoses are sometimes the reason for a loss in suction. Hoses can get clogged with hair, dust bunnies, string, or anything else that can`t pass through the other end of the hose. Airways inside the machine should be looked at as well. Wherever there is an air passage, check it.
Prepare your carpet and areas to be shampooed
Begin by removing furniture from the room and then thoroughly vacuum the carpet preferably with a powerhead vacuum cleaner, before shampooing to remove loose dirt, pet hair and other particles. This should also expose the carpet stains, if there are any.
Shake Kirby Pet Stain & Odor Remover then generously apply directly to stain. Repeatedly blot area with a clean, white cloth to remove stain. Once you have removed everything you can, rinse a clean, white cloth under water and lay over stain covering entire area. Allow to sit for up to 24 hours.

Water and cleaner not coming out, The machine is only 6m old and was working fine, I have cleaned every where I can to see if there was a blockage but nothing is working. The heater is working, there is a suction but the water and soap will not realease when triger is pulled. it will not work on on the tool spay.
ANSWER : Check the complede length of the hose. You may find a crimp in the most inconvenient place. You say you cleaned everything … can you blow through the hose where the cleaner comes out? (don’t drink anything!)

The steam mop was only used 3 times.stopped working. It has now stopped working altogether. I have only had it for a month. I did not save the receipt because after the third time working I thought it was okay. I am very disappointed and have a hand shop vac of Sharks which has been working for a year. Shampooer not working – little to no foam coming out
ANSWER : Its likely that its just blocked up and need to be flushed out with clean water,,,sope forms a slimy mass if left in the shampooer for a long time

Water is not being discharged. I have filled the reservoir that holds the carpet cleaner fluid And I have filled the water container. I know how to use the cleaner, it has always worked, But now, no water is being discharged to the carpet. I turn it on, squeeze the trigger, but nothing comes out. The wheel that is suppose to spin (to indicate that water is being discharged) is not spinning. Everything else works. I.e. the suction works, and the hand held accessories work.

Shampooer I have a rainbow e series and my shampooer is not working. The tubes do not seem to be clogged and it sounds like it is trying to work but we cant get the water to come out. We pull the trigger and nothing no soap, no water, nothing. Can anyone help?

ANSWER : You need to check that the little round screen is in the hole where the hose attaches to the shampoo tank. My guess is that the little round screen is wedged sideways in the end of the hose.

I have a Kirby vacuum with the shampooing attachment. The shampoo/liquid comes out of the shampooer in a drizzle of liquid. There is no foam.
ANSWER : You need to check that the little round screen is in the hole where the hose attaches to the shampoo tank. I have only had my shark steam mop for about a month and only used it twice. I tried to use it yesterday and it would not work. The green light came on and it worked for maybe ten seconds, then it completely shut off. I tried switching outlets and draining the water but nothing worked. It still doesn’t work today either. What do you think is wrong? Does this product have a warranty?
