Can you use other carpet shampoo solutions in a Vax machine? One of the most popular questions we get asked is if our carpet cleaning solutions can be used in a Vax machine. The answer – YES, they can!
If your Vax machine has 1 tank for both clean water and carpet cleaner solution, you only need to use 10ml of Dirtbusters Extraction Machine Liquid per Litre of water. E.g. if your tank holds 2.7 Litres, you would use 27ml of solution and fill the rest of the tank with clean, warm water.
Your Vax carpet cleaner may not be picking up water because the machine has picked up too much grime, and has become blocked up. Check around the head of the carpet cleaner for anything obvious that might make the suction on the Vax weaker, or look for clumps of hair that could be caught in the bristles.
Put Vax Pre-treatment Solution in the clean water tank. Plug in the wand and turn the machine on. The wand will produce a fine spray to put on the mark or stain. Leave this on your carpet for 15 minutes and then begin your full carpet wash.
The key to cleaning your carpet efficiently is to work in straight, consistent lines. Squeeze the trigger on your carpet cleaner to release the water, and push forward a few feet. Then release the trigger, and pull back over the same line.
Can I use a carpet washer on wool carpets? All Vax carpet cleaners when used with our Vax- formulated, WoolSafe approved solutions are safe to use on wool carpets.
Carpet Cleaners, Not Just for Carpets

So versatile, you can use a Vax Carpet Washer and Spot Washer to clean sofas, upholstery, stairs and even car interiors.

It`s good practice to change your vacuum cleaner`s HEPA filter every 6 months.
The good news is that the Vax ONEPWR Blade 4 comes with a washable filter. This means you can use warm water to clean it, rather than needing to buy a new filter when it becomes clogged. We recommend cleaning your Vax filter at least once per month.
Rinse if you can

If you have a carpet cleaner with a `rinse mode` such as the Vax Platinum Power Max or Vax Rapid Power Advance, use this after washing with solution to remove any residue from the carpet, before allowing to dry normally.

After finishing the bottle of Vax liquid that came with my machine,I have always used the cheap bio liquid in mine(about 4 years now),it works fine. There was a thread on here a while back and quite a few people use it as well. I always use persil small and mighty when I hire rug doctor.
To reset, remove the Powered Head from the reach wand/handheld and clear any obstruction. Wait 1 minute before refitting the Powered Head, switch the slim vac on and press the brushbar on/off button. Check the user guide for the specific steps for your model.
Where will I find the ratings label on my machine? You can find the ratings label typically on the back or base of your machine on a white or silver label. Your model number will be a mix of numbers and letters and your serial number will 21 digits long.
Burning smell can indicate motor damage

If you suspect that the motor is damaged, you should not continue to use the vacuum cleaner! The cause of motor damage is usually wear and tear or damage caused by prolonged improper use (e.g. overheating).

This set of 2 replacement Filters is specifically designed to keep your Vax carpet washer running smoothly and maintaining its suction.
It`s not unusual for DIY carpet cleaners to need eight or even 10 passes on a carpet before the water runs clear. This is especially true when: It has been a long time since your carpet was last deep-cleaned.
Vinegar, baking soda, and salt are common household items that can be used as carpet cleaners. Soften a carpet by mixing fabric softener, hot water, clear vinegar, and dishwashing detergent.
Detergent left in a carpet, serves as a magnet for new dirt. When finished shampooing, run a tank of clear water over the heavy cleaned areas (e.g. entrances and walkways). This will help remove excess shampoo and keep those areas cleaner for longer. It also helps to rinse out the shampoo from inside in the machine!
Foam Filters: Usually circular, foam filters can be cleaned with soap and water. Pleated Paper or Synthetic Cartridges: These inexpensive filters are often not washable but you can clean them several times before replacing them.
The Vax Air Purifier is ideal for creating a healthier environment in your home, perfect for smaller rooms up to 28m2., featuring a built in HEPA media filter.
If the product is not making steam please check that there is water in the tank fitted at the top. If the product is not making steam please check that there is water in the tank fitted at the top. Pull the tank up and fill it up with water. Please do not add any cleaning solutions to the water in the tank.
First, you need to vacuum up all loose dirt from the sofa surface. Next, spray water and cleaning agent evenly on the stained surface. For heavy dirt, spray and leave to work for at least 5 minutes. Then place the nozzle on the surface of upholstery and slowly vacuum up the moisture from the cleaning mixture.
Mix 1/2 cup of rubbing alcohol, 1/2 cup of white vinegar, and about 1 cup of water. Make sure to give it a good shake before applying it to your upholstery. If you`re dealing with tough stains, you can add a little less water to your mixture.
Carpet should certainly be vacuumed prior to a professional carpet cleaning. A pre-vacuum removes dry soil, surface dust, and dander so you get a deeper cleaning.

Controller’s small red light flashes constantly, meaning that electric blanket will not heat up. Instructions state switch off, wait, then re-try but this does not solve.
Web search for ‘Spares’ does not actually give spares sellers, only those wishing to sell full new product!
Does anybody know of a true spares seller please?
Dreamland themselves do not appear to sell spares. UK only.
ANSWER : When the controller is flashing red, this means that there is a problem either with the controller or the wiring inside the blanket. You might try looking on Ebay. You might find a spare there. The safe thing to do though is just purchase a new one. Because if you just buy the controller then the wiring inside the blanket could be faulty and the new one will also just blink.
