The Cleaning Nozzle is clogged
Calcium and other minerals may build up in the nozzle, so you may need to clean the nozzle in order to produce steam. To do this, either use the nozzle cleaner provided with the Steam Pocket Mop, or use a straightened-out paper clip.
First, check to make sure the unit is plugged in and is in a working outlet. Next, check to make sure there is water in the tank. It is very important to make sure you are ONLY using water to fill the tank. Other solutions may cause breakdown of the gasket and/or other parts of the machine.
Heating Element. A common cause to your cleaner not producing steam can be a failed heating element. As the heater is used to heat up the water, if that has ruptured or burnt out your steam cleaner will not produce any steam. With the water tank filled and switched on the steamer should sound like a boiling kettle.
To use a steamer, fill its water tank with cool water. Then, check to make sure all parts of the machine are connected and in place. Plug the machine in and simply wait for it to heat. Once it`s hot, you`re all set to get steaming.
After use, unplug your steam mop and let it cool before removing the Dirt Grip pads. Empty the water tank before storing. Wait until it has fully cooled and all the steam has been released. Machine wash your Dirt Grip pads separately, with warm water, using liquid detergent.

Some steam cleaners come with descaling agents. In addition, there are a variety of descalers out there for use in steam cleaners, humidifiers, and other home appliances where water is vaporized. Make sure this is initially set to the highest setting – you can always then reduce the velocity of the steam as you need during use. Ensure that your water tank cap is securely fitted. The cap on most cleaner`s tanks help to maintain the pressure and seal the steam in the unit, so need to be securely fastened.
First, attach the mop pad to the mophead, then fill the reservoir with water using the filling flask. Once the steam mop is plugged in, it takes about 20 seconds for the steam to build up, and you`ll hear the mop hissing. During the first use, I found that I had to pump the handle a few times to prime the steam pump.
Hot and cold will work equally well. A steam shower typically does not use enough water to need the hot water line.
For handheld steamers, remove the water tank from the steamer, fill the tank with water, make sure it is properly sealed and put it back in place. If you are using a vertical steamer, pour the water directly into the tank.
