Dyson Vacuums\015 I have had my dyson DC35 for about 6 months now with now problems. I use it on my hard wood kitchen floors each night. The last couple of weeks I have noticed it really not doing its job, leaving debris behind and ‘surging’, hard to explain but it seems to cut out repeatedly when in contact with the floor. If I lift the whole thing of the floor, no surging. If I take the head off and just use the stick end, no problem. Its when the head is on and in contact with the floor. The head has been cleaned out and there are no obstacles stuck in the neck. Any suggestions\015

Dyson DC35 Multi floor is a Dyson Digital Slim™ cordless vacuum cleaner for multiple floor types- carpet, ceramic, vinyl and wood. It features a detachable long-reach wand and a motorized cleaner head. Powered by the Dyson digital motor, it is the most powerful lightweight cordless vacuum.

After a full charge, the Dyson DC35 runs for about 20 minutes with a regular cleaning. If you have a larger house and need the vacuum for a while, then you may need to charge it halfway through cleaning. Even something like the Dyson Cyclone gives you 60 minutes of usage on a single charge.
In 1993, we said `goodbye` to the bag and in 2010, we launched our first cord-free stick vacuum, the DC35. “Today, 11 years since the launch of our first cord-free vacuum, we have a suite of cord-free vacuums engineered for every cleaning need,” says John Churchill, Dyson`s Vice President of Floorcare.
Dyson offers a 2-year warranty on all cordless machines and parts, including the battery. If your machine is within its warranty period, we`ll replace the battery for you free of charge. If you`re an owner, log into My Dyson to see whether you are under warranty.
The Dyson V11 Outsize™️ comes with two swappable battery packs that extend the machine`s run time up to 120 minutes1, with fade-free cleaning guaranteed.
All six of these cordless stick Dyson vacuums have a similar approach to how they clean. They each use cyclone systems to fling debris into the dust bin, include a washable lifetime filter, and are powered by the same “Trigger” technology to turn the vacuum on and off.
Plug the charger directly in to the machine via the charger cable. The Battery should be fully charged after 3.5 hours.
At $300, the Digital Slim is up against a slew of competitors who charge a fraction of that price for vacuums which, when push comes to shove, will do just fine for most people.
The Dyson Ball Animal 2 is the most powerful vacuum we`ve ever tested. The most powerful upright we`ve ever tested, the Dyson Ball Animal 2 vacuumed 76.3% of our testing dirt in a single pass, far exceeding the upright average of about 33%.
The battery pack of the Dyson v6 Absolute provides 20 minutes of powerful, consistent suction on a 3.5-hour charge. It is easily removed and replaced.
Safety with batteries is imperative and we encourage all customers buy only genuine Dyson batteries as replacements for their Dyson machines. Only by using genuine Dyson parts are you ensuring that your machine continues to work as intended.
A Dyson vacuum cleaner has a lifespan of around 10 years. This is considerably longer than most other vacuums. So, if you`re looking for a high-quality vacuum cleaner that will last you for a long time, a Dyson could be a good choice. However, remember that Dyson vacuums are expensive.

It`s recommended that you change your filter every 12 months. If you run your air purifier frequently or are experiencing a lot of indoor air pollution, you may need to change the filter more often.
Producing up to 115 Air Watts, it generates powerful suction on carpets and hard floors.
The Dyson V15 Detect is the best cordless stick vacuum we`ve tested. It delivers superb overall performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets, though its strong suction force can make pushing it around on some rugs hard.
There`s an additional model category sold by Dyson labeled “Outsize.” This is the most expensive kind of Dyson vacuum, with a price tag of $800 or more. Dyson`s Outsize vacuums offer a bit more suction power and a larger dust bin.
A: The green light flashes rapidly when the battery pack has overheated. Leave it for ten minutes.
According to the manual a slow blinking light means it`s time to recharge the battery.
The battery is designed to be left on charge permanently, and this will ensure that the vacuum is fully charged when it`s next used.
This trick fixed it perfectly:- Unplug the charger from the wall. Plug it in again. Attach your Dyson and press the trigger (on button) for around 20 seconds (nothing will happen, just keep it pressed). My Dyson worked perfectly again straight away after doing this.
If you find that your machine is turning off intermittently, the filter in your vacuum is most likely full and covering the ventilation system. Remove the filter, then empty and wash it. Allow the filter to dry for at least 24 hours, or until it is completely dry.
It can take up to four hours to fully charge your battery. Your battery has been designed to be left on charge. Your machine won`t operate or charge if the ambient temperature is below 5°C (41°F).

I purchased a brand new Eureka Pet vacuum, sorry don’t know exact name but it the one that has the self cleaning duster on it. Last night I used the vacuum on my carpet, it was working fine until I accidently sucked up the corner of a scarf that was hanging off a couch. I shut the vacuum off, pulled out the scarf and and resumed vacuuming. Much to my dismay the suction on the vacuum had ceased. Can you tell me if there is a reset button on the vacuum? The vacuum does not appear to be damage
ANSWER : If the motor is running, there should be suction. Possible problems depend on whether it’s a canister or upright and are:
.A clog in the hose, UR or canister. Detach hose. Drop small coin in one end and lift hose causing it to roll out the other. If it does, no clog in hose. Drop same coin into hose opening on power head. If it rolls out, no clog in PN.
.Broken fan blades, UR. Needs to be taken to shop for repair/replacement.
.
.A reset button is for use if the motor isn’t running, so won’t have anything to do with the suction.

The original belt on my upright Kenmore Progressive broke and I replaced it with the spare that was in the vacuum. The vacuum and spare belt are about 10 years old. Then the spare broke after one vacuuming session and there was a burning smell coming from the vacuum. I ordered new belts and replaced it with the new belt. It seems to be working fine with no smell. I checked the belt after I vacuumed the family room and although it was in tact, the belt was very hot. Is that normal? Should t

Unbeknownst to me, someone took the bag out of my Kenmore Progressive vacuum and failed to replace it. I have been vacuuming without a bag for months, and today the vacuum stopped sucking. When I opened up the front to replace the bag, tons of dirt and dust came pouring out. I thoroughly cleaned the vacuum, put in a new bag, but still no sucking power. Just dust coming from the rear vents where one of the filters is. Is the vacuum ruined, or is it a simple solution of buying a new filter?
ANSWER : Sounds like you need to buy a new motor. All that grit and dust will ruin a motor and I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did.
.This is where a vacuum that won’t run without a bag would have been nice. (Aerus for one)

Clogged vacuum Rather stupidly, my boyfriend 1) were vacuuming without a bag and 2) vacuumed up a big piece of cotton from a sofa cushion. And now it’s making a horrible noise and I see it vibrating where the tube connects to the machine. When you look inside there’s a white thing sticking out but it looks like it’s part of the vacuum. If it’s a clog, how do you fix it? I tried unscrewing the tray the bag sits in but it won’t budge.
ANSWER : You can start by taking off the bottom plate or top cover, which ever comes off, that is where the inlet starts going in and hopefully the clog is there. Could be in the hose also. But without the complete model number I can’t look it up to see a picture of it.

Electrolux Epic 6500SR Full Bag sensor working, Does not Reset properly
ANSWER : The problem was a sticking switch that was not being reset. The vacuum on/off switch mechanism is comprised of two switches. One is the main switch that turns the vacuum on and off. The second is a shut off switch that gets tripped when the full bag sensor is engaged. This second switch is supposed to get reset when you push the on/off switch on the outside of the machine. The full bag shutoff switch was stiff and it, therefore, was taking a couple of presses of the on/off switch to move the shutoff switch back into the running position.

ANSWER : The power head requires 120 Volts. Some hoses have a receptacle in the handle for the power head plug, and the hose has a cord at the wall inlet end that plugs into a receptacle. Some hoses have a plug at the wall inlet end that plugs into a 120Volt receptacle built into the inlet. The hose plugs into this receptacle when you push the hose into the inlet. The power for this built-in receptacle is wired with line voltage when the system is installed.
