You probably have an obstruction somewhere in the machine. Dysons are kind of known for that in the vacuum cleaner world.
Check all air channels and clean them out. If that fixes the problem you still might have issues that caused it to clog up.
I posted the part second because it takes 24 hours to complete it.
Be sure you wash your Washable Pre-filter. It needs to dry for 24 hours. Never put it back in the machine wet.
Once it is completely dry reinstall the pre-filter and your machine should be back to normal operating functions.
Let me know f this helps.

.If you can’t see any, then you may need to remove the bottom plate of the vacuum and clean out and/or replace the drive belt and clean the area. These belts and other components are usually available at Sears Hardware or main stores. Make sure you get the correct belt for your vacuum.
.
.If the beater bar brushes are substantially worn, it would also be a good idea to replace the beater bar as well. These parts wear out after a few years. Try to work on the unit in a location that is well ventilated and the debris doesn’t make a mess inside your house.

.I own a Hoover Steam Vac V2 deep cleaner with Auto Rinse feature. The Model Number is not available ex: was on the bottom of the machine and the sticker is completely worn off the machine. I am having a problem with the bottle you fill with detergent ex: this bottle is separate from the main clean water tank. THE PROBLEM: The little plastic part that goes in the bottom of the bottle has an "O" ring ex: cone shaped with a spring…..it keeps falling out. Can you supply a part number for this component? The bottle has a number ex:36778-002. Thanks…Linda (504) 888-2120.

.Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hover SteamVac V2 with Auto Rinse feature. I would suggest because the model 3 and the serial 3 have been worn of the machine to contact your local vac dealer in your area and or the Hoover Factory Service or the Hoover Website for the Factory Model #, but the part that you are requesting is not very expensive and can be replaced. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
