It was not working well at ALL, so i opened it up, cleaned it all, and now it’s sucking like it was new.

I’m sorry to hear your DC19T2 Animal is not working as well as usual. This may be due to a blockage, and the filter may need a wash.
To locate and remove any blockages, please follow the steps shown in our online support guide for this machine:

In normal use, the filter should be washed at least once every 3-6 months, as shown in the video below. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for it to dry completely before replacing it.

Looks like a common fault with this particular model judging by the number of complaints on the web.
.Take it to your local vacuum repair shop and they should be able to fix it for a nominal fee.
