Clear Clogged Windshield Washer Nozzles

Clear the clogged windshield washer nozzle with a pin, then use compressed air to blow the debris backward through the hose. If you hear the pump going but don`t get fluid, you probably have clogged windshield washer nozzles.

The washer pump makes a distinctive sound when you trigger the windshield washer fluid to spray onto your windshield. If you press the button and don`t hear anything, and no fluid sprays onto your windshield, this indicates that the pump is broken or is not receiving electrical power.
Open your hood and find your washer fluid reservoir—it`s usually a white, translucent container with a windshield/water symbol on the cap. Note that if your vehicle has a rear wiper, there may be a second reservoir for it as well. Remove the cap(s) and check the fluid level in the reservoir(s).
A common reason why your windshield wipers might be smearing water is worn wiper blades. Wiper blades are made out of soft rubber, so they inevitably wear out and need replacement over time. In fact, many automotive manufacturers recommend replacing wiper blades every six months.
Fill In The Windshield Washer Liquid

In most cases, we can use normal water as wiper fluid. It works just fine.

If the washer is making a loud noise while draining, the drain pump might be clogged or defective. Sometimes, small objects or articles of clothing can get caught in the drain pump. To determine if anything is blocking the drain pump, remove the drain pump and check the pump for obstructions.
If you hear a grinding noise as your blades move across your windshield, it`s likely that the motor is making this noise. This will happen when the blade arm is attached too tightly to the wiper blade, causing the gears in the wiper blade motor to grind. If this is not checked, it can cause the wiper motor to burn out.
This is the best wiper fluid solution for areas where your windshield encounters a high amount of mud and dirt. Add one tablespoon of liquid dish soap to a gallon of distilled water. It`s better to err on the side of too little dish soap than to add too much as this can make the solution too thick.
Your vehicle`s windshield wiper fluid doesn`t deteriorate over time. It`s not like oil, which needs to be changed periodically. However, you should check your windshield wiper fluid level semi-regularly. You can do this every time you have your vehicle serviced or every two months.

We have the water hooked up at the back of machine. there is a spout for the water to come in and fill the ice tray.but is does not. If we turn the water on it fills up the space under the ice basket. I keep getting red light and then the two smal llight one ice and one water come on. We can hear the motor trying to fill the ice try and then lights come on. Please help me this so I can use this product. It did not come with a manual.
ANSWER : The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn’t seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze blocking the fill tube.. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.
With the fill tube blocked with ice the water can drip down the back wall or drip into the ice bin or just stop up. You can use a hairdryer to thaw the tube out.

I have a hoover 3000 i have not used in awhile, and since I removed a large rug, I would like to use it again on my slate floor. HOWEVER, I cannot get it to pick up ANY water in the water recovery unit……it is dry, dry, dry. I have put in a new filter, cleaned the nozzle unit, the scrubber , and reconnected both the recovery unit and the water unit several times, but to no avail. I would like to get a graut attachment a well as replacement part, but since I can’t get the basic unit to work, I
ANSWER : Have you made sure the plastic filter cover with the round hole in it that covers the filter is in place ( part # 59177096 ). This piece seems to get lost, and without it there is no pick-up. The other common problem is that the wheel assembly has been damaged. Look at the bottom of the Floormate. You will see a black plastic wheel assembly. There are two pegs at the rear attaching it to the base. If this piece has a crack in it where it attaches to the base, there will be no pick-up.

I have a bissell quickwash 1950-e. I bought it Jan. 2006, and have only used it 8-10 times, I live in a very hard water area, so I though if I put some vinegar in with the cleaning solution it would get rid of any hard water deposits, unfortunatly the solution went lumpy in the tank and stoped spraying out water, I have opened it, hose clean, sprayer not blocked, x at bottom of water container when depresed water trickles out, component that opens the x when water container placed, also ran wate
ANSWER : Hard to say what is causing your problem, replacing the cap and insert on the water tank may help, part #2041111, even tho it may trickle out water when depressed, they can still be bad. The other thing would be the rod not relesing the water like it should. The big draw back to this model is Bissell has obsoleted all of its parts and most are no longer available. Might be wiser to buy new.

No Water My Bissell rug shampooer does not eject water or saop whan I pull the saop trigger on the handle. I checked both filters and they are clean. Then, I removed the container that sucks up the water and pulled the saop trigger, water barely came out of the tubes. I tried to clean the rug in our family room and the rug was not wet when I finished, no water coming out to clean the rug. HELP HELP HELP!!! I live in Colorado is there a Bissell repair shop near Denver, HELP!!! Thanks Dominick ema
ANSWER : Does water squirt out of the hose nozzle, if it does, then check the heater inside the handle asm. Make sure that where the tubes hook up to it are not clogged. If water doesn’t squirt, check for the seal at the bottom of the tank, it needs to be on the tank, not in the hole, this is for the soap bottle also, there is a seal on the bottom of it as well. The flow indictor cap is leaking air or maybe is too tight. If you had the top cover off, make sure that the tubes are routed right so as not to get pinched when the cover is put back on, the smart mix knob should be in the water setting and that the piston is on the bottom of the smart mix knob. Pump is bad. Try running a mix of vinegar and water to see if that unclogs the lines. Is the top cover and the base tight together in the back, sometimes the top breaks loose and it will raise up and it can’t spray, just re-fasten it down.
