Dyson DC07 Animal Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum\015 I’ve tried spraying silicon spray into the hose to lessen the friction, but it’s futile. There are at least two problems here: The folds in the hose trap dust over time, and this buildup decreases the I.D. of the hose and increases the friction between the hose and wand; but, more importantly, the plastic in the hose fatigues and deforms over time. This causes it to develop small irregular corrugations between the coils of the hose that further narrow the opening. I’m going to try to clean the inside of the hose with a rag on the end of a stick, and then lubricate it again with some kind of inert wax or silicone. If that doesn’t work, though, I fear the only fix is to buy a new hose. I consider this a design flaw.\015
How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?
Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced Vacuum Technicians :
To use the Wand, stand the machine upright and pull the red cuff up, out of the handle. Pull the hose cuff down until it clicks into place at the end of the Wand. The red button on the hose cuff can be used to remove the Wand so that the accessory tools can be attached directly to the hose.
Open the cap on the handle and slide the wand upwards until both the wand and hose release from the machine. Press the button on the end of the hose and remove the wand. Press the button on the bin handle and remove the bin. Press the tab on the base of the hose to remove it from your machine.
Handily stores the Combination and Crevice tools on the wand of your vacuum. So they`re always there when you need them.
If you have lost suction from the wand handle on your Dyson vacuum, remove the handle and check the hose suction, if the hose suction is good then obviously you have a blockage in your wand handle. Common sense but its surprising how many callouts I have had for this simple problem.
Firmly push the red bin release button. The bin will slide down, cleaning the shroud as it goes and the bin base will open. The bin base won`t open if the red bin release button isn`t pushed down all the way. Press the red wand release button and pull the wand away from the bin.
Central vacuum wands are the extension pieces either metal or made of ABS plastics that connect the handle of your central vacuum hose to your cleaning attachments. On this page, you can choose wands to fit your central vacuum hose.
You can press the button on the red handle and pull the wand completely out of the hose.
Why does my Dyson keep cutting out? A Dyson handheld that keeps cutting out is known as pulsing. A Dyson V7 pulsing problem can be very frustrating! A few reasons why your Dyson is pulsing are potential blockages or problems with the bin or filter.
Check for a plugged hose:
Plugged vacuum hoses are sometimes the reason for a loss in suction. Hoses can get clogged with hair, dust bunnies, string, or anything else that can`t pass through the other end of the hose. Airways inside the machine should be looked at as well. Wherever there is an air passage, check it.
No, it does not have a manual height adjustment.
The Dyson DC07 was introduced in 2001 with brand new Root Cyclone technology.

My bissell proheat upright steam cleaner is spraying out through the attachments just fine, but will not spray to the floor when using upright. we’ve taken it apart to find that there is no water at all going through one of the hoses, but it appears the hose is connected behind the on/off and heat switches, we can’t seem to figure out how to get in there to replace that hose….any suggestions on how to access this?? just curious how you would get in to replace the hose, we know it is the hose..
Hose disconnected There is a clear circle on the part where the hose connects to the cannister (above the orange ball) that is in a position that has the hose disconnected. I can move the circle so that the hose connects, but it won't lock in that position. Help!
Hose Problem The hose broke just above the cuff on the inlet end of the hose. I found that the hose doesn’t thread into this cuff but appears to be heat bonded in some way. Can I get a replacement cuff or do I have to replace the hose?
ANSWER : Looks like you can just get the hose, part #38479-4, It should just screw into the adapter or it may be glued in.
No suction vacuum won’t pick up — I’ve checked the bag, hose…and it seems to have no sucking power. The internal hose may be jammed (I vacuumed up a lot of shredded paper), but nothing as far as I can stick in fingers in. I don’t have a metal coat hanger to slip down, but I’m afraid that might tear the hose and then the darn thing won’t work anyway. :o(
ANSWER : If it is plugged, try using a tape measure, i know it sounds stupid but it will work to unplug your line and will not tear your hose..

Clogged hose… I have a clog in my hose, probably a sock, I have pushed it through to the hard plastic handle end of the hose, help! can the plastic handle wand be disconnected from the hose to remove the clog??? Thank you
ANSWER : Hi!.
.
Low suction, poor pickup, or no suction may be due to a clog in the vacuum cleaner. If you notice a change in the sound of the motor or a reduction in the spinning action in the Dirt Container, check for clogs. Unplug cleaner from electrical outlet. Empty Dirt Container. Check Upper Tank and Louvers for build up or clogs. Check to make sure Louvers are installed correctly. To unlock the Louvers, grasp the rim and turn toward the left. Pull straight down to remove. If the Louvers are missing or not locked into place, check and clear the tube in the center of the Dirt Container. Remove the Twist ‘n Snap Hose from the vacuum by turning to the left. Check the Suction Inlet, Hose and Hose Wand for clogs. Remove any clogs from the hose using a long, narrow object. Check the Foot Hose for clogs. If needed, remove the screw attaching the Hose Wand Base to the vacuum. Straighten the Foot Hose and unclog with a long, narrow object. If the clog persists, then check the Rotating Floor Brush the Air Passageway for obstructions..
