Hoover Bagless Hello, My Hoover bag less (Model U5280-900) is not picking up dirt like it should. The brush roll is spinning fine, but the bristles on it are only about one quarter inch long. ANSWER : If the belt is more than six months old then change it even if it is not broken. then replace your filters if that doesnt work than check the hoses for a clog drop a marble down them and make sure it comes out.

Hetty hoover not working. It was working ok until I opened it up to search the bag for a missing jigsaw piece and I put it all back and I hoovered the mess on the floor, then switched off and switched on and hoover would not work? Is there a cut off button on Hetty hoovers?
ANSWER : Know cut off switch, its just not getting power ? 2 things its ether at the wall plug or in side the unit. I have never found a fuse in side them , so it may be just a lose wire did you try other plugs in the house . good luck DFD

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best way to clean the HEPA filter is to take it outside and use a blower over the trash can and blow off the dust and dirt, or use things like an old paint brush and brush it off, or you can vacuum it off with another canister vacuum or shop vac if you have an extra one. For the best filtration is to replace it, there fore the air flow will catch most of the dust and dirt and then you would have to watch how fast it gets dirty and then do the maintenance.

I have a hoover spinscrub carpet cleaner model F7221-900 I need to download a user manual for.But hoover website tells me they can,t find this model number. I have checked # several times and it is correct. whats up?
ANSWER : I just needed to clean the brushes I finally just found the clips on each side of the brush roller and pressed in towards center and was able to pull brushes out.

Can’t find info for hoover steam vac spin scrub model # F5905900 on Hoover website, doesn’t show that model number at all…looking for mesh (kind of cone/cylinder shape) that goes in dirty water tank (I think) and also the tool (wand) that slides into front to clean it out. It doesn’t pull all the water up very well and the filter has been missing for some time. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or not. As far as the wand tool goes, I have taken the cover off at this point and

I have a tear in the hose of my old model # F6030-900 unit which doesn.t allow water from the attachment to **** back into dirty water bucket. The model #F6039-900 is the same model # but different year I understand. The tear is at the bottom where set the recovery tank in the lay down position and can look in the unit at the bend of the hose.

Hello, I have a Hoover quadraflex Powermatic central vacuum system Model # s8099-031 that requires a new replacement 35 ft hose…I have contacted Hoover and they do not know where to buy a replacement hose for this model. Your Hoover hose is shot because it was made of rubber.There are new swivel handled, tangle proof lighter hoses made of vinyl which will last much longer and can be adapted to the old Hoover head by changing the upper steel tube.
Find a Hoover service center, outlet in the yellow pages and ask for the “NEW “style, gray“Plastiflex“ brand hose and upper adapter tube sold with new Hoovers at Costco and you will be all set. Then, when the head eventually dies, you can upgrade to a far better one , while still having the Hoover cannister, the hose and tools do not need to match the original tank.

ANSWER : Try going to hoover.com and either email them or there is a number that you can call, this is hoover direct, so someone there should be able to help you. Have your model and serial numbers and purchase date handy in case they ask. It also has a 2 year warranty on it. So if you bought it in the fall of 2006, then you have until the fall of 2008. I would take it to an warranty servicer and get it repaired before the warranty runs out.
