You can use any brand in this machine. I have used bissle, hoover, even a Walmart pet one. They all work great.
Laundry Detergents aren`t Formulated for Carpet Cleaning Cleaning solutions are specifically formulated to clean and not damage the machines they`re used in and the material they`re treating. Laundry soap is designed to be used in washing machines to clean clothing.
For synthetic carpets: Mix ¼ teaspoon of a translucent liquid dishwashing detergent, such as Dawn or Joy, into one cup of lukewarm water. For natural fiber carpets: Mix one teaspoon of translucent liquid dishwashing detergent, such as Dawn or Joy, into 1 cup of lukewarm water.
While carpet cleaners are designed to work optimally with carpet shampoos, they will also do the job with a laundry detergent. In fact, this is one of the safest substitutes you can use. Using laundry detergent in a carpet cleaner will provide you with effective results and you won`t even have to use a lot of it.
Add 3 ounces per gallon to warm water in the clean water tank. For AutoMix machines, fill solution tank. Always consult owner`s manual.
A: Yes, you can just rinse your carpet with plain water when using the Hoover SmartWash Automatic Carpet Cleaner. Helpful?
I boil the water and pour it in carefully—boiling hot. Most home cleaners do not use the power of boiling water, but I do. I have done this for 14 years now, and without any problem.
Instructions. Mix clear dish soap with warm water in a small bucket. If the stain is fresh, use a rag or a paper towel to blot up (don`t rub, which can press the stain deeper into the fibers of your carpet) as much excess liquid as possible.
Dish Soap. While dish soap won`t get as bubbly as laundry detergent, it`s still not something you should use to clean a spill. When you use dish soap, the soap gets rid of the dirt and possibly even the stain, but it might seep into the fibers of the carpet.

I have a new Hoover Dual V steam vac that I bought from a neighbor who only used it once. I have only used it once since then and it worked great. This time, because I am pregnant, I bought some non-toxic cleaner that was much thicker than the very watery Hoover soap. This vac has a wash option and a rinse option. The rinse option works (sprays and sucks properly), but the wash cycle doesn’t at all-neither soap nor water comes out. Nothing comes out, but it still sucks. I took everything o
ANSWER : There’s a powerful electric motor attached to a fan that sucks in air.Did you checked and cleaned that motor. If the dirt is got stuck up ion the motor then the motor will not spin as per its regular speed. For rinsing the motor spin on one cycle but for washing it spins on reverse side. Its a dual spin motor. If its getting blocked on other side then that particular function will not work..

Empty the recovery tank of the Hoover SteamVac if the cleaner fails to pick up dirt. Once the tank is full, many Hoover models have an automatic shutoff that stops the cleaner. If this does not resolve the pickup issue, check the hoses of the machine and remove any blockages.———-
Examine the water tank if water does not dispense from the SteamVac. It could be empty and in need of a refill, or you may not have locked the dispenser firmly in place. The detergent tank should also be looked at and filled if empty.———-

Determine if the valve cap is clogged if detergent won’t dispense from the Hoover cleaner. To remove clogs, unscrew the cap and then place it in hot water for at least 20 minutes. Once dry, screw the cap back in.—–

Clean the filter screen at the bottom of the vacuum cleaner if the brushes fail to rotate while in use. To access the filter screen, place the machine on its side and pull the tab at the base of the unit. Wipe off the debris with a clean cloth.————

My hoover floormate h3060 has not been used for some time, when I went to use it, it would not dispense the cleaner..The last time I used it, I used a mixture of amonia and borax. I think the hose is clogged. What should I do??
ANSWER : You most likely have either a clogged screen at the bottom of the fill tank or the jets that spray fluid are clogged. You can unscrew them and power a paper clip through them. If the hoses are by chance clogged which doesn’t happen often, Pull one off at a time and blow real hard to unclog, then put it back on, then move to next hose.
Do NOT take all of them apart at the same time or they can get mixed up and it’s a pain to figure out how it all went back together.
My bissell proheat 2x carpet cleaner is not spraying from the bottom or sucking up when turned on. The hand tool works just fine. I have made sure it was on floor cleaning when I used it to try and clean my carpet. the busshes are working but nothing else is happening this cleaner is about 21/2 years old and has only been used maybe 5 times so it has not had alot of use.
NO MANUEL NEED TO KNOW WHAT TYPE OF CLEANER TO USE AND HOW TO USE
ANSWER : Use Hoover solution. The measurement are on your lid..Hoover.com
I have the hoover automatic dual vac 5. this is the 3rd hoover rug cleaner i purchased and always the same problem the spray underneth the rotator bars hardly dispenses and the floor hardly gets wet, this has happened with all 3 rug cleaners
ANSWER : The carpet is not intended to get soaked, like what you see with a spray application. If you are seeing a stream of water in the nozzle/tank during the recovery stroke, this is working properly.
I have a Bissell ProHeat 2x, and I did something dum. I had some powdered cleaner that said it works with carpet cleaners-well I mixed it in-and the next time I tried to use it, nothing came out. So, I took it part to check what was wrong-and found out that the powdered cleaner solidified in places. I cleared the nozzels, nothing. I think the solenoid, between the heater and nozzels is pluggd, and possibly the heater. I’ve got a question-could I use CLR to clean the heater, with replacing t
ANSWER : Heck yeah, give it a shot. Try running some water through it too- fill it up, heat it just to where it’s hot and unplug it, shake it around and dump it out. Repeat. You might have to get a wire or something to go through and get the powder loosened between the boiler and nozzle, but if the stuff will dissolve in hot water then once you get it going a little it’ll flow better the longer you keep heating it and putting new water it.
I say I think you should unplug it once it gets mildly hot the first few times because if there is a pile of the powder stuck to the side of the tank you may find that the tank gets very hot there and overheats/fails.
You should be able to clean the solenoid too, hot water is your friend.

ANSWER : Confirm that the hose is correctly connected to the clean water supply. If so, then remove it and, with the trigger operated on the hose, try to blow into the water feed connector. If you cannot pass air, the feed tube in the hose is clogged and must be cleaned (either by running faucet water into the brush end (with trigger pulled) or by using compressed air….
