It is designed to brush your carpet after shampooing, while carpet is still slightly damp. Works very well in high traffic areas, where carpet becomes matted down. Brush carpet from all directions, so that rotating brush could comb and raise all carpet fibers. Really makes the difference.
Q: How come there is no foam coming out of the shampoo system? A: To produce foam properly, the suds screen and foam sponge must be in place on the shampoo tank. To check this, remove the tank and make sure they`re properly in place.
Even if you don`t think your job will be that messy, carpet protection is still a good idea. Carpets can look clean on the surface, but are capable of holding up to a pound of dirt per square foot. Dirt falls to the bottom and gets trapped in the fibers making it hard to clean up.
Add carpet cleaning formula to the water tank.

Pour the formula directly into the hot water until it reaches that line. Some cleaners have separate hot water and formula tanks. For these, fill the hot water tank full with water, then fill the formula tank to the fill lines with hot water and formula.

Simple and effective, this has long been one of the most trusted Kirby attachments. This attachment is perfect for the inside of the car, where drivers rely on it for dealing with tough-to-clean upholstery. It`s also an excellent option for couches, steps, and upholstered furniture.
Almost all upright and canister vacuums come with a variety of attachments—extra brushes, hoses, and other tools—to make it easier to clean more than just the floor. “These tools are meant to help clean different surfaces and difficult-to-reach spaces,” explains Frank Rizzi, who conducts Consumer Reports` vacuum tests.
The Kirby shampoo takes 2 hours to completely dry, at the most. I also noticed that clean-up was a lot easier. The Kirby shampoo rinses away clean with just cold water, taking the dirt with it.
Foam through your vacuum motors can severely damage them, costing you money. Carpet defoamer is a cost effective and easy solution to stop foam & damage in carpet cleaning extraction machines.
Carpet fitters and floor layers fit carpets and vinyl tiles and lay laminate and solid timber floors.
How long can Carpet Shield be used to protect carpets? This product provides carpet protection for up to 30 days. Exceeding this time period for all carpet protection films can result in an adhesive transfer or residue.
Is Carpet Padding Necessary? Carpet padding is necessary if you want to have a long-lasting, durable floor. Carpet needs padding to protect the hard flooring surfaces underneath it, and most carpeting warranties are void without the proper padding underneath the flooring.
It is important to remember that carpets change over time due to air, sunlight, and a host of other factors. Carpets also need to `breathe`; air needs to be able to move over and through. The carpet under the mat will stay in a `time capsule` and not change.
Mix 4 oz. Simple Green per 4 oz. water into your carpet cleaning detergent tank. For carpet cleaning machines without a separate solution tank, mix a 1:10 ratio of Simple Green to water.
Fluff it up

Matted carpet can easily be brought back to life. Spritz a little warm water onto the matted area then gently blow-dry with a hairdryer as you fluff the carpet fibres back into place with your fingers, the edge of a spoon or a hairpin. Allow the carpet to dry completely before walking on it.

Unscrew the tank cap from the bottom of the water tank and fill with 2 teaspoons of cleaning solution. Fill the remainder of clean water tank with warm tap water to the MAX line. Replace cap. Place bottom of clean water tank into the Carpet Cleaner and push back until it locks into place.
The suction motor creates vacuum pressure and suction by rotating a motor fan. The impeller rotates at an incredibly high speed of about 30,000 to 35,000 RPM. A suction motor`s power is measured by multiplying the rate of air flow and the vacuum pressure, which induces air flow from the brush through the hose.
Kirby vacuum prices are higher than many vacuums found at big-box stores, but that`s because Kirby vacuums are made of durable materials that will last for years. Why replace an inexpensive vacuum over and over again when you can purchase a Kirby vacuum? This complete home cleaning system that will last for a lifetime.
According to Kirby`s official profile from Nintendo Japan, he has a pink body that bounces like a ball, and is comfortable to touch. This implies he`s soft and pillow-like with an excellent handfeel.
The Universal Carpet Head is one of the most widely used vacuum heads around the world. It`s supplied as the standard issue vacuum head with many brands of ducted and portable vacuum, and performs reliably on most carpets and hard floors.
Use the upholstery attachment on mattresses and fabric surfaces. Work in a horizontal or vertical motion from top to bottom. Use the crevice tool in the tight corners and seams. Use the dust brush on leather furniture to reduce any risk of scratching.
32mm is the most common size used for vacuum cleaners, ducted vacuum cleaners and backpack vacuum cleaners. However some less common sizes are 35mm, 36mm or 38mm. The best way to find out what size will fit your vacuum cleaner is to measure the INTERNAL diameter of one of your old vacuum cleaner tools.
Most, but not all of the carpet shampoos on the market, are meant to be used with a carpet cleaning machine of a specific brand noted by the shampoo manufacturer. And, depending on the shampoo, it may have additional features like a pleasant scent or robust stain removal capabilities, too.
That`s because the Kirby isn`t just a vacuum. It`s a whole-home system capable of shampooing carpets, mopping hard floors, polishing hardwoods, and scrubbing tile and grout. Don`t waste your time and money on multiple machines when buying a Kirby is one machine, with so much clean.
When finished shampooing, run a tank of clear water over the heavy cleaned areas (e.g. entrances and walkways). This will help remove excess shampoo and keep those areas cleaner for longer. It also helps to rinse out the shampoo from inside in the machine!

My carpet cleaner (bissell proheat plus) is not steaming, dispensing cleaner. Seems like there’s a little thingy that should be spinning or turning….. When I work a small area of carpet, it just leaves behind dry blobs of carpet gunk like pet hair. I had to use a carpet sweeper to clean up. FYI – I filled the cleaning fluid container and after trying to clean the carpet, it did empty out but the carpet isn’t wet. Any tips? The manual doesn’t help.
ANSWER : You need to replace the pump belt. Here is the belt you need:

We have a Bissell Proheat Cleanshot 2X Model 9500 Steam carpet cleaner. The first time we used it things were great. The second time we used it it left tracks in the carpet. We have no idea what caused this. We tried using the machine on an entirely different carpet and it did the same thing. After vacuuming the carpet about 10 or 12 times, the tracks are still embedded in the carpet – HELP!!!! We’re read and reread the manual and contacted customer service and received no help.
ANSWER : First things first. It’s only the second time you have used the machine, so it must be fairly new. If you have a receipt and the unit is less than a year old you should take it to an authorized Bissell repair center and have the machine inspected under warranty.
.
.Otherwise, The jets on this unit clog easily, there are two of them and you can locate them under the recovery tank towards the front of the machine, and blow them out with an air compressor. To prevent the jets from clogging in the future make sure to flush all shampoo out of the machine with clean water when done using it. That is most likely your problem.
.
.If it is leaving black streaks on your carpet it could be coming from a burnt belt or melted brushroller part, in which case inspect the belts and brushrollers and replace the damaged pieces.

.I hope this helped

.Good Luck

Carpet stained recently cleaned my cream coloured carpet in my entrance hall with a carpet cleaning product, wet foamy spray type, ran out of this and found a part bottle of a different brand in my cupboard, used this to finish off however must be some sort of reaction and carpet gone a greenish colour i think (colour blind sorry ) any idea’s of any product that might restore my carpet, will try anything, nothing to loose. thank you Peter McGurk Goole East Yorks
ANSWER : Ok in the future try to have carpet cleaned only by a pro. For spot cleaning use white paper towels or dish towels and warm water. (ONLY WHITE) 99% of fabric is white and then dyed to color and if you use a color cloth you might pull the dye from the cloth into the carpet. Now what you can try is your basic dishwashing detergent like electrosal with warm water and a dishtowel. little at a time try to blot not rub. try AFTA if that doesnt work. wet the rag first with warm water. pour the afta on the wet rag not on the carpet.
