Plug the PowerSteamer into a proper outlet and turn ON the Power switch. While pressing the trigger, slowly make several passes over the area to be cleaned. Caution: Do not overwet. Turn the machine Power switch OFF and let BISSELL Advanced Deep Cleaning Formula dissolve the tough soil for 1-2 minutes.

I purchased a Pro Heat self propelled Bissell rug cleaner model 7950 from Target wherehouse on 4-26-06. I used it once and all was fine. The next time that I went to use it the smart mix for the cleaning formula would not dispense formula.I called Bissell consumer services and was told to take it to Starks Vaccumn in Sherwood, Or. That was on 10-30-06 They said that it was working so I tried it again and not a drop of formula was or has been used since.I took it back 2-13-07 and the replaced the
ANSWER : I assume that it is spraying water? Is the smart mix knob turning freely from one point to the end? If not then there is a problem with the smart mix asm. With liquid in the soap bottle, push the valve in to see if liquid comes out ok, couild be that the valve is bad. Is the seal on the valve at the bottom of the bottle, it has to be on that and not just sitting in the hole. You might try running a mix of water and vinegar thru it, maybe it is clogged up.

Bissell I inherited the Bissell Model 790 Steam Vac. No solution will come out. Apparently it’s clogged somewhere as the previous owner appeared to have used it to vacumn up a powdered carpet cleaner. How do I resolve this problem as the machine is barely used and I would like to salvage it.

ANSWER : Check the belts first, if ok, does water squirt out of the hose nozzzle, if it does then the heate in the handle asm. is clogged where the tubes hook up to it. If no water squirts out, the the pump isn’t working. Pull the top cover off, check all tubes to make sure there is no clog. Make sure the tubes are routed right so as not pinch one, also make sure the piston is mounted on the smart mix knob. and the knob is in the water setting before putting the cover back on. The cap for the flow indictor is leaking are or screwed on too tight. The seal at the bottom of the tank is not on the tank and is missing or sitting in the hole where the water goes.

We have a Bissell Proheat Cleanshot 2X Model 9500 Steam carpet cleaner. The first time we used it things were great. The second time we used it it left tracks in the carpet. We have no idea what caused this. We tried using the machine on an entirely different carpet and it did the same thing. After vacuuming the carpet about 10 or 12 times, the tracks are still embedded in the carpet – HELP!!!! We’re read and reread the manual and contacted customer service and received no help.
ANSWER : First things first. It’s only the second time you have used the machine, so it must be fairly new. If you have a receipt and the unit is less than a year old you should take it to an authorized Bissell repair center and have the machine inspected under warranty.

.Otherwise, The jets on this unit clog easily, there are two of them and you can locate them under the recovery tank towards the front of the machine, and blow them out with an air compressor. To prevent the jets from clogging in the future make sure to flush all shampoo out of the machine with clean water when done using it. That is most likely your problem.

.If it is leaving black streaks on your carpet it could be coming from a burnt belt or melted brushroller part, in which case inspect the belts and brushrollers and replace the damaged pieces.

I purchased my Bissel PowerSteamer Clearview a few years or so ago, and cannot find where I filed the manuals. If I find the actual seriel number on the Bissel PowerSteamer Clearview, Is there a way that I can purchase another manual? I really do not have any problem with my Bissel, but being I am 75 years of age and do not use it myself anymore, I want to give it to a daughter of mine (but I would like to have the manuals that go with it to give to her also).

My hoover floormate h3060 has not been used for some time, when I went to use it, it would not dispense the cleaner..The last time I used it, I used a mixture of amonia and borax. I think the hose is clogged. What should I do??
ANSWER : You most likely have either a clogged screen at the bottom of the fill tank or the jets that spray fluid are clogged. You can unscrew them and power a paper clip through them. If the hoses are by chance clogged which doesn’t happen often, Pull one off at a time and blow real hard to unclog, then put it back on, then move to next hose.
Do NOT take all of them apart at the same time or they can get mixed up and it’s a pain to figure out how it all went back together.
