This overload reset switch button (part number 8191505) is for vacuums. Overload reset switch button 8191505 resets the overload switch when you push it. Unplug the vacuum before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.
Check service panel for tripped breakers/blown fuses. If breaker is tripped, reset it. If fuse is blown, replace it. If vacuum cleaner is plugged in, be sure power button is in the off position before resetting breaker/changing fuse.
Kenmore model numbers typically include a three-digit prefix followed by a dot and a series of numbers that represent the specific appliance model. The prefix can help identify the manufacturer of the appliance.
Vacuums: For the past decade, Kenmore`s flagship vacuums were made by Panasonic (less-expensive models came from TTI, Eureka, and PhoneMate). Now that Panasonic is winding down its North American small appliance business, upcoming Kenmore vacuums will be manufactured by a company called Cleva.
How long do Kenmore vacuums last? A. It`s suggested that the typical vacuum can last up to an average of eight years. With proper maintenance, a Kenmore vacuum could last that long or longer.
One caveat: Handling this vacuum`s 23 pounds takes some muscle. In our member survey, Kenmore canisters earned a very good score for predicted reliability and an average rating for owner satisfaction.
Check that the vacuum cleaner is plugged into a working power outlet and that fuses and breakers don`t need resetting. An activated thermal cut-out due to a blockage is the next most likely cause of the problem. Check for blockages in the hose and filters, and remove any obstructions that you find.
Vacuum Cleaner: Why doesn`t my vacuum cleaner`s brush roll spin? A broken drive belt, damaged brush roll, jammed brush roll bearings, tripped brush roll motor overload, failed brush roll motor or a wiring failure in the wand or nozzle can prevent the brush roll from spinning.
Go to File in the top left side, select the “Load…” option from the File menu. At the bottom of the screen there will be a section called “Filter:” with a drop down menu. Select the “All Files” option. Select the file called “default.
The 1st three numbers of your serial number will always provide your manufacture date. The 1st number is the YEAR of manufacture; the 2nd & 3rd numbers indicate the MONTH of manufacture. Please see the detailed explanation and examples provided below.
The two letters at the beginning of the serial number tell you the month and year it was made. Where is my model and serial number located? The first letter identifies the month. The second letter is the year.
The brand first appeared on a four-drawer drop feed sewing machine sold from 1913 to 1919. The first Kenmore washing machine was introduced in 1927.
The model name and serial number can be found in several locations, depending on the product: A label on the back or bottom of the device. The original packaging and printed instruction manual inside it. The system menu in products with a user interface (e.g. TVs or cameras)
Model and serial numbers are used to identify a specific product. The model number differentiates between models of devices—for example, iPhone® 13 and iPhone X. Many devices can share a model number, which means they`re the same model. But every device has its own unique serial number, sometimes abbreviated as S/N.
For most models, the lowest setting is optimal for bare floors or thin carpeting. The middle setting offers the best suction for slightly fuller carpets. The highest setting is best for plush carpets or area rugs.

Kenmore is well known as one of the oldest American appliance brands. According to Wikipedia, the first Kenmore washing machine was introduced in 1927, so in 2027 it will celebrate its hundred-year anniversary. The thing, however, is that Kenmore appliances are not Kenmore anymore.
Kenmore is a recognized brand in the appliance industry and has been around over 100 years. Kenmore offers high-quality refrigerators in a wide range of sizes and models at affordable prices. Variety: Kenmore offers a huge selection of appliances, from mini-refrigerators to giant, commercial appliances.
The most common problem with a vacuum cleaner is also the easiest to remedy: clogs in the hose or attachments. Also the electrical cord, motor, switch, fan, brushes, and motor bearings can all need repair or replacement. The drive belt may need replacing; and the attachments, hoses, and filters may need unclogging.
The average life expectancy of a mid-range vacuum cleaner is about six years. You can fix or replace things like blocked filters, jammed brush rolls, frayed hoses, worn-out stick vac batteries and broken accessories yourself.
On average, a well-maintained robotic vacuum cleaner can last up to 4-6 years, but some models may last even longer.
Whirlpool makes washing machines, dishwashers, and refrigerators that bear the Kenmore badge. In addition to Whirlpool-branded appliances, the company also manufactures Amana, Jenn-Air, KitchenAid, and Maytag kitchen and laundry appliances.
As for Kenmore, it`s a well-known brand—but it has no factories. The Sears-and-Kmart exclusive label dictates designs and warranties and features, but all the products are built by competing home appliance companies that include LG, Frigidaire, and—you guessed it—Whirlpool.
Several things cause a burning smell, such as a motor part is that broken or worn out, the motor is running too hot, you suck up a burning cigarette, or the rubber belt has snapped. The belt helps turn the brush roller that helps guide dirt and debris into the vacuum.

Kenmore Model 116 Cannister Vacuum.Trying to get into motor area. Think belt is worn out. I have removed the front two screws under the hinged cover, but can not remove cover over motor.. Still attached at rear. No evidence of any more screws to remove.
ANSWER : Under the cordwinder actuator button, are your other two screws. To remove this cover, take a flat tipped screwdriver and , very carefully, find the “tabs” (there are two) both on the front section under the button. Then, Carefully, press them in and back and up, in that order, one at atime, or both if you can. Your button should pop off, it can be a bit tricky, I know, it feels like it could break. But don’t worry, they usually don’t break. If you think that there is a problem with your belt, there is no reason to be accessing the motor compartment, for there is not a belt anywhere except the power nozzle, and if you press the circuit breaker/reset switch (while unit is running) located on the power nozzle, this will often solve problems with your belt. I hope i could help fixya! Let me know, thanks! Rene (the Vacuum Doctor)

Bad Motor I have purchased two of the Kenmore direct drive beltless systems with Progressive systems. The first died after a year, the vacuum motor start making a grinding noies. I pulled the side HEPA filter and could see a fine coating of graphite like dust. Took it to a vacuum repair shop. They said the brushes were going and thus the motor was shot. I liked the vacuum and bought a second, 1 year later the motor is making a slight noise that and removing the HEPA filter I find a slight metall
ANSWER : That dust is from the carbon brushes on the motor. You may need to check them, and also clean out the motor compartment. A slight noise could be a motor bearing starting to go. Does the smell like rubber or electrical. If rubber, then the belt has stretched and needs to replaced. If electrical, then something is causing the motor to run hot, like a clogged filter, or it could be a motor going bad.

I purchased a Eureka C4910 last year and have a question that I am hoping you can answer.

There are two motor actions with this vacuum, 1) the vacuum suction, and 2) the beater bar. The action of the beater bar is that motor is supposed to automatically shut off when the handle is in the complete vertical position assuming the vacuum is stationary, but then turn on when the handle is tilted toward the floor, assuming the vacuum is moving back and forth.

The beater bar motor turn-on mechan

ANSWER : Good day!

Normally when the motor is easily moved back and forth means that it have a proper lubrication, proper alignment and no clogs.

When the motor and the belt is OK the problem could be on electrical wiring and switch.

If found electrical switch burned out you need to replaced it because when the switch is burn the contact of that switch is open even you turn it ON.that’s why the motor is not function because the voltage is not pass through the circuit because of open switch. You need to replaced it.
And check some fuses if any and other burned electrical wire.Replaced it also.

Thank you and don’t forget to rate my answer.

I am getting very little suction from the motor. The hose is clear, the bag new. When I open the bag cover, plug the hose in and turn the vacuum on, there is next to no suction from the motor. What do you think is wrong? How do I remove the cord retractor to get to the two screws that hold the back of the canopy cover?
ANSWER : Your problem is probably is you don’t have a proper seal in your chasis. A vacuum has to be sealed tight or the air will leak out and the seal broken. Check around the whole body after the bag is in and check for any airflow noise. I could help more if I knew the make and model. Chris

Agitator belt failed in my Hoover F5853-900 Steam Vacuum Cleaner. But can not remove bottom Cover .. have removed top cover and two screws from the bottom Cover. The smaller Cover is glued to the large Bottom Cover. Need help.
ANSWER : Hello,

Unscrew the plate. check if there is any screws at the bottom, if none, exact little pressure to pull out the bottom cover. At this .point you should be able to see the broken drive belt along with the two. drive bars. Remove any debris from the vacuum head. Untangle any long threads .wrapped around the beater bar. These only put more strain on a drive .belt, so keep this area of your vacuum clean..Slip the new drive belt on the beater bar. Connect it with the drive .shaft. You may need to use the screwdriver to stretch the belt enough to. get it over the two shafts.
Make sure the beater bar turns freely with the new drive belt attached. Put the plate back over the beater bars.

Take care.
