The Dyson vs. Kirby vacuum cleaners debate can be complicated, as these brands are so different. If it comes down to price or size, Dyson will probably get the upper hand — but for all other vacuuming considerations, Kirby is the way to go.
The price of vintage Kirby vacuum cleaners can vary widely, depending on their age and condition. The least expensive ones are probably worth about $100 and high-end models might sell for $2,000 or more. But if you`re looking to buy one that hasn`t been refurbished, expect to spend several hundred dollars.
Kirby`s Dream Land, released in 1992 for the Game Boy, was the first game in the series.
If you demand the absolute best in your vacuum cleaner, you can`t go wrong with the Kirby Avalir 2. This trusted solution is built to last, so it will deliver years of deep cleaning. You`ll never regret investing in a high-quality vacuum that makes your life easier.
Kirby vacuum prices are higher than many vacuums found at big-box stores, but that`s because Kirby vacuums are made of durable materials that will last for years. Why replace an inexpensive vacuum over and over again when you can purchase a Kirby vacuum? This complete home cleaning system that will last for a lifetime.
Their vacuum cleaner prices range from $995 to $2500. Now, you might be wondering if they are worth the large price tag.
For more than 100 years, every Kirby has been handcrafted in the United States from die-cast aluminum.
Kirby has a great design. He`s expressive, iconic, instantly-recognizable, and easy for kids to draw. A perfect fit for the protagonist of a Game Boy game. He`s simple, but it works extremely well, and its a far more unique look than all the 30-something brown-haired white men that gamers love to play as these days.
Jim Kirby created the first Kirby vacuum cleaner in 1906, and ever since, The Kirby Company has continuously improved its American-made, hand-crafted Kirby Home Cleaning System design to ensure best-in-class performance.
That`s because the Kirby isn`t just a vacuum. It`s a whole-home system capable of shampooing carpets, mopping hard floors, polishing hardwoods, and scrubbing tile and grout.
For over 100 years, The Kirby Company has sold its home care systems through in-home demonstrations by authorized, independent Distributors. It`s the only way we sell our product. We firmly believe that every buyer deserves the opportunity to try our cleaning system in the comfort of their own home.
Kirby`s copy abilities are every bit as powerful and more than Mario`s power-ups. And unlike Mario, Kirby`s power sources are far more common. He can inhale enemies, environments, projectiles, and much more to access new abilities. Projectile-using foes become their own undoing when Kirby`s on the prowl.
This cool “K” name has Norse roots, with English and Irish heritage too, and it means “settlement by a church.” Inspired by place and faith, Kirby has rich historical roots while also featuring a modern sound and feel, in no small part thanks to the cool K and Y spelling.
As reported by VGC, Nintendo`s Fiscal Year Ending March 2023 Six Months Earnings Release, revealed that Kirby and the Forgotten Land has sold a further 2.61 million in this past quarter. This seemingly means that the recently released Kirby game has racked up an impressive 5.27 million copies sold since launch.
According to Kirby`s official profile from Nintendo Japan, he has a pink body that bounces like a ball, and is comfortable to touch. This implies he`s soft and pillow-like with an excellent handfeel.

Carbon Brushes wearing out quickly on Kirby Heritage II
ANSWER : 4 possible reasons.
1 – one or both bearings are worn so armature (rotating part) wobbles as it is spinning and cause motor brushes to wear fast. Solution – change bearings too.
2 – Whoever replaced brushes – did not use some brush seating sticks to make cmutator smother and contour brushes to the shape of the comutator (not likely). Solution – appropriately install new set of brushes.
3 – Comutator is so warped that seating sticks do not help anymore – solution – new armature or turn the old armature.
4 – The fact that ONLY ONE brush was worn may mean that there is something wrong with the brush or housing. Maybe it could not move freely within the housing? I think this may be most likely cause it it may be a combination of all 4.Is it worth to fix? Hmm depends how much will it be. If this is 100+ – I’d say get newer Kirby for 300 ad enjoy the tech drive (Heritage does not have tech drive so it is much harder to vacuum with than the newer models)

How to remove a Kirby Heritage II Armature
ANSWER : The armature that holds the fan on is reverse threaded. It turns to the right to remove it. You can put a nail or nail punch in the hole on the armature and tap it gently to the right. this should loosen it enough to unscrew. There’s a washer, then the fan, and a spacer that fit over the shaft.

.I can’t figure out how to get the belt engaged on my Kirby Heritage 84. There are very simple instructions on the front assembly; however, the belt doesn’t engage with the rotor, and the beater bar does not spin. When I have the front twisting section on the “Belt On” setting, it seems as though it actually disengages the belt. I see no faults in any of the mechanical parts, but just can’t get the belt to go on the rotor.
(I purchased this machine @ a garage sale on Saturday. It’s in perfect condition.)
My vacuum cleaner is a Kirby 84 Legend.
Help! Jennifer

.Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. You can always check your owner’s manual but the Kirby has a dial on the front of the machine and you needs to dial the belt off of the fan pulley counter clock wise and to check to see if the Kirby bell housing will release @ the top so that you can remove the bell housing. If not then remove the bottom plate and take out the brushroll on one side and then slide the belt off of the brushroll. Then you can slide the new belt onto the brushroll to the center and then re-insert the Kirby brushroll with the screw heads facing downward then you can replace the bottom plate – then use the Kirby spoon or hook to dial the belt onto the fan pulley clock wise. Once that is done then plug in the Kirby and try to vacuum to see if the Kirby is picking up properly, if not repeat the process. If you have a question, feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
