How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?

Possible Causes: The brush roll is blocked. The cleaner might be overheated. The battery is empty (last LED blinks)
Check that the vacuum cleaner is plugged into a working power outlet and that fuses and breakers don`t need resetting. An activated thermal cut-out due to a blockage is the next most likely cause of the problem. Check for blockages in the hose and filters, and remove any obstructions that you find.

The motor filter is located behind the Electrolux S bag inside the vacuum. To open, push upward on the “S BAG” tab to reveal the interior housing.
The most common problems found in vacuum cleaners are low suction force, excessive noise, burning smell, vacuum not turn on, and overheating. These issues can be fixed by either cleaning the device or replacing some parts of the device. At times, it is best to seek a professional to fix the cleaner effectively.
– Some vacuums have an in-line thermal fuse (often located between the switch lead and the motor coil). If the fuse is blown it will need to be replaced. – Check your home circuit breaker – it may have tripped. – Some vacuums have a brushroll on/off control.
The filter on an Electrolux front-load washer is located on the lower front panel of the washer, typically at the bottom, close to the floor. The filter is behind an access panel that can be opened with your fingers or a flat-edge screwdriver or coin.
Remove the filter and empty out any loose contents/rubbish. Rinse under warmer water for 1 minute (max 400C). Leave out to dry, making sure it is completely dry before refitting to your vacuum. Detach the Hepa filter and rinse under cold water for 2 minutes.
Overheated Motor
If your vacuum was working fine and then suddenly shut off, it may have overheated. Most vacuums are equipped with a thermal protector safety switch that won`t allow the motor to run when it becomes overheated. You will need to wait for 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your machine, to try again.

My son and I are trying to build a small motor for a school project. we have a 6volt battery 2 wires that we are hooking up to a spool of wire. We have two aposing magnets on each side of the spool of wire. the spool of wire is on a shaft and should turn when we touch it with the 2 wires from the battery. It just does not work. What are we missing here?

Trying to attatch the wires from the light kit to the fan but the blue and white wires from the fan have white caps on them covering the wire. Do these need to be removed in order to attach the wires with the wire nuts? If so, how are these white plastic caps removed?
ANSWER : They’re called “wire nuts”. Turn them counterclockwise to remove, lay the wires you need to join side by side with the ends of the bared sections even and screw the nut on.

Reinstalling a hampton bay ceiling fan model-HL52QV P 3LC14 and I do not recall how to wire it to the house electric. A black wire and a blue wire are tied together and a white wire are present fromthe fan. Whichone is connected tothe hot wire in my fan electric box inthe ceiling.
ANSWER : The black and blue wire should conncect to the black wire in the electric box and the white wire should connect to the white wire in the box. This assumes the wiring was correctly installed.

I have an antique 8 arm chandlier and want to put it up in my bedroom but the wire hasnt any differance in color, how do i wire it to the exsisting wire from the celing , what wire goes to what wire ?

. You may need to trace where the supply comes from, but essentially, you need one black wire from the motor and one from the capacitor to go to ground.
.The other capacitor lead needs to attatch to the other motor wire as I think this is a supressor capacitor – not a run capacitor.
.The other lead is probably either live or switched live. (You need to test this with a meter) – and should go to the other side of the switch – or the centre if it is a 2 pole switch.

.Just connect the capacitor across the motor – one side to Negative/ – not the switch – and the live line needs to go to the switch – and from there to the motor/capacitor leads.

Wiring diagram I havea Dog and cat appart and are trying to understand the wiring. From the power side I have a black then another black for a individual terminal each and 2 x blue coming from a single terminal on the 3 pin plug side. This is passed thruogh the switch to a 4 x pin terninal strip that has a brown yello blue and blak from top to bottom. Can any body help me with a wiring diagramm so I can traced these wires?? First check the cord to make sure you have continunity throw both leads, check.them at the cord reel, there are 2 wires hooked up to it, if not then.the cord is bad. Check the swith also, the next cause would be the.speen control mounted on the motor, part #04416342, sells for around.$85. If your motor checks ok, then it most likely the speed control,.they go out quite often…Thank you
