A possible cause might be that the tank is not properly seated. To assure the tank is seated properly, pick it up and re-seat is so it sits snugly on the unit. If this doesn`t fix the problem, make sure the tank is assembled properly. To make sure they are both latched properly, pick the tank up by its handle.
Flow Indicator

This is located on the machine base. It spins when the trigger is pressed to indicate that the machine is applying cleaning solution to the carpet and will stop spinning when the formula tank or bladder needs to be refilled, or when the trigger is released.

Your dirty water tank may not be secured tightly. Check the rubber tab on the dirty water tank and press firmly on all edges to secure it tightly. The accessory hose door also needs to be closed securely. Check the door and make sure it is locked in place.
Check area on the inside of the unit for suction without removing the filter. If there is suction, it would indicate that the hose is clogged or filters are dirty. If still no suction, please take the unit to an Authorized Service Center to have a Quality Technician inspect the unit.
The Flow Indicator shows the flow of water and solution in machine. When the flow indicator stops spinning, you will need to fill the tank with more solution. The flow indicator does not spin when using the hose.
First, check to make sure the clean tank has water and/or the water & formula mixture in the tank. If your tank is empty, this could be the reason your machine is not spraying. You will need to fill your clean tank again. Reseat the tank and ensure it sits snug on the machine.
Check the suction inlet on the body of the vacuum and clear it of debris if needed. Remove the hose from the base of the machine and remove any debris as needed. If necessary, you may use a broom handle to unclog the hose by pushing through both openings.
Recharge the batteries according to the charging instructions. The spray tip may be clogged. Rinse the tip with clean water. If needed a paperclip may be inserted into the spray tip to unclog.
The most common cause of loss of suction is that the filters have become blocked. They may require cleaning or replacing. Another cause could be that the vacuum cleaner hose is blocked.
Most carpet cleaning pros say they use a range of 100-400 psi for regular carpeting, but some use a psi as high as 500 for standard jobs. For more delicate fabrics, such as thinning cotton or nylon, you may need to go as low as 50 psi.
A: Yes you hold the trigger forward and back until the carpet is shampooed, and then release to suck up the water.
Hold the end of the hose below the water level in the tank to prime. With a full tank of water and the Machine off and reclined press the clean shot button `on` Wait for the clean shot to run for a few seconds, this will reprime your machine.
Soak and Clean the Nozzle

Submerge the nozzle in the warm vinegar, soak it for at least eight hours, and then remove the nozzle and rinse well with warm water. Use a toothpick to gently remove any remaining deposits from each nozzle, rinse again, and then dry with a towel.

Hold down the steam trigger for about a minute to get the water circulating. You`ll be able to get the steam going in no time. If the garment steamer isn`t new, however, you may be out of water. Check the water reservoir inside of the machine and fill it up if it`s empty.
Use Some Water

A little bit of water can do wonders for boosting a suction cup`s grip. Using warm water, rinse the whole cup so it softens it up. Shake the drops of water off the cup quickly and then put it up on the wall. That can often do the trick.

My carpet cleaner (bissell proheat plus) is not steaming, dispensing cleaner. Seems like there’s a little thingy that should be spinning or turning….. When I work a small area of carpet, it just leaves behind dry blobs of carpet gunk like pet hair. I had to use a carpet sweeper to clean up. FYI – I filled the cleaning fluid container and after trying to clean the carpet, it did empty out but the carpet isn’t wet. Any tips? The manual doesn’t help.
ANSWER : You need to replace the pump belt. Here is the belt you need:

Dirt devil vacuum cleaner–trouble vacuuming dirt and pet hair on carpeting –is the problem with the spinning brush which contacts the floor,  not contacting the carpeting??  I thought (when I bought this vacuum) that the aforementioned brush was adjustable to various heights of carpeting.  Sometimes, it seems like nothing is being vacuumed up –unless I have just put a new bag on the vacuum… Do I need or can I replace the spinning brush on the bottom of the vacuum so it kicks up and vacuums
ANSWER : Try replacing the belt. Rubber belts stretch out after about a year.

We have a Bissell Proheat Cleanshot 2X Model 9500 Steam carpet cleaner. The first time we used it things were great. The second time we used it it left tracks in the carpet. We have no idea what caused this. We tried using the machine on an entirely different carpet and it did the same thing. After vacuuming the carpet about 10 or 12 times, the tracks are still embedded in the carpet – HELP!!!! We’re read and reread the manual and contacted customer service and received no help.
ANSWER : First things first. It’s only the second time you have used the machine, so it must be fairly new. If you have a receipt and the unit is less than a year old you should take it to an authorized Bissell repair center and have the machine inspected under warranty.
.
.Otherwise, The jets on this unit clog easily, there are two of them and you can locate them under the recovery tank towards the front of the machine, and blow them out with an air compressor. To prevent the jets from clogging in the future make sure to flush all shampoo out of the machine with clean water when done using it. That is most likely your problem.
.
.If it is leaving black streaks on your carpet it could be coming from a burnt belt or melted brushroller part, in which case inspect the belts and brushrollers and replace the damaged pieces.

Water wont come out fo the steam cleaner. – Bissell ProHeat Turbo Deep Cleaner Upright Steam Vacuum
ANSWER : Try adding a table spoon of salt to the water.

The bissell proheat will not suction – Bissell ProHeat Turbo Deep Cleaner Upright Steam Vacuum
ANSWER : Try the following suggestions to see if you can get your machine suctioning properly:
.
.1) Remove the Tank-in-Tank Assembly and place your hand over the motor intake valve. This valve is located next to the Floor Nozzle gasket (at the top of the Floor Nozzle window) and behind the SmartMix Bottle. If you feel vacuum-like suction at this area, your suction power of the unit is working but air is escaping at some point. If there is no suction at the motor intake valve your machine will need to be inspected by an Authorized Service Center Technician.
.2) It is possible the Floor Nozzle on your machine is inserted incorrectly. This would directly affect the suction of your machine. Please follow the directions below for removing and replacing the nozzle.
.Before starting, please be sure the machine is unplugged and the machine handle is reclined.
.To remove the Floor Nozzle window, first detach the Phillips head screws located at the base of the nozzle. Then, remove the Tank-in-Tank Assembly. Next, pull forward at the top of the Floor Nozzle window to release the tabs of this window from the receiving holes of the machine. This window is designed to allow access for cleaning.
.When replacing the Floor Nozzle window, please be sure the tabs at the TOP of the nozzle are properly inserted into the receiving holes provided. If you do not have the tabs in place properly, the suction power of the machine could be affected.
.Rotate the window down into place and replace the screws.
.3) Ensure that the Ready Tools knob (diverter knob) is in the proper setting and the valve opens and closes freely. Ensure the black foam gasket is in place under the valve.
.4) Check to ensure the Tank-in-Tank assembly is seated properly and that it is not full of dirty water. (If this tank has a drain cap, make sure it is in place and that it has a black o-ring).
.5) Check the float and baffle to ensure they are properly installed on the Tank-in-Tank. The larger square portion of this part should be below the clear baffle of the tank with the red flag portion of the float resting on top of the baffle.
.6) Check the Tank-in-Tank and lid for damage. Is the lint screen clogged? Make sure the lint screen is in place on the tank lid and not placed into the motor duct. Also, clear the holes on the lint screen.
.7) Check to see if the upholstery hose has suction. If the hose has suction and the floor nozzle does not, check the diverter valve to see if it opens and closes freely. This can be seen through the Floor Nozzle window as you switch the diverter knob from the floor to tools setting.
