First, check to make sure the unit is plugged in and is in a working outlet. Next, check to make sure there is water in the tank. It is very important to make sure you are ONLY using water to fill the tank. Other solutions may cause breakdown of the gasket and/or other parts of the machine.
Steam cleaners are the ultimate, versatile tool for keeping your home in tip-top shape without the use of chemicals. They work by using pressurised steam to prise tough grime and dirt from surfaces, which can then be easily wiped or vacuumed.
Handheld steamers typically work best (and fastest) on thinner fabrics like silk, polyester, and linen. If your wardrobe consists mainly of these delicate materials, you`ll rarely need to pull out the iron—in fact, you probably don`t want to iron anyway for fear of scorching them, Jackie says.
The first time you use your garment steamer, it might not produce steam right away as there is no water in the system yet. Don`t worry; this is normal and will only happen the first time you use it. Please press the steam trigger for one minute. This will promote water circulation and the production of steam.
Shark Pocket will not make steam

Check that your water tank is full, if you find it is empty, add water. Also check that the tank is free of any cracks or holes that could cause water to leak, and that the tank is properly seated in the device`s housing.

How Steam Cleaners Work. Water is heated past the boiling point and forced out as pressurized steam through a nozzle, brush, or other attachment. The vapor loosens dirt and kills dust mites, mold, staph, and other allergens and harmful bacteria. No suction is required, since the high-heat moisture dries quickly.
Fill the reservoir with one part white vinegar to two parts distilled water. Run the steamer until about half of the solution is gone. 2. Let the water cool down completely, then empty the steamer.
Thanks to their size, travel steamers also heat up quite fast. Once they`re plugged in, they`ll be ready for use in two to three minutes. Another upside of a handheld steamer is its price. They are often less costly, given that they have fewer bells and whistles and a smaller body.
If you see white, powdery residue, fill a small bowl with warm distilled white vinegar (heat in the microwave). Place the nozzle in the bowl and allow it to soak for at least four hours or overnight. Rinse well and use a toothpick to remove any clogged areas before reassembling the steamer.
Ideal fabrics for steaming? Wool, wool blends, synthetic wool-like fabrics, cashmere, silk, silk blends, and other delicates. Fabrics to avoid: suede, waxed jackets, and anything plastic—it might melt. Steam any sort of lining first, and always steam items from top to bottom.
There is no water in the water tank

If the water level in the water tank is below the minimum or is empty, your appliance will not generate steam. Ensure that there is water in the tank or that the water is above the MIN level icon. After this, your iron should work again.

If the tank is empty, your Philips Garment Steamer will not be able to produce steam. Please, refill the water tank. If the water tank is not properly inserted, your garment steamer might not be able to produce steam. Please, remove the water tank and insert it again correctly.
If the product is not making steam please check that there is water in the tank fitted at the top. If the product is not making steam please check that there is water in the tank fitted at the top. Pull the tank up and fill it up with water. Please do not add any cleaning solutions to the water in the tank.
Make sure this is initially set to the highest setting – you can always then reduce the velocity of the steam as you need during use. Ensure that your water tank cap is securely fitted. The cap on most cleaner`s tanks help to maintain the pressure and seal the steam in the unit, so need to be securely fastened.
So, where does the dirt go when you steam clean? Actually, it doesn`t go anywhere. Instead, the heat and vapour of steam cleaning ensure that all the unwanted substances or stains are fully broken down and easy to get rid of.
Steam Cleaning Equipment may come at a higher price

Because of the higher manufacturing costs required to produce the equipment, you will need to pay a little more upfront for a steam cleaner. However, one thing you will have to bear in mind is that a steam cleaner only requires water for use.

A good rule of thumb is to have your carpet professionally steam cleaned at least once a year, twice if you seem to track a lot of dirt in. This way you get a good, deep cleaning and don`t let the dirt build up. Vacuum once or twice a week to keep it clean in between your steam cleaning sessions.
For a deep carpet clean, nothing beats a steam cleaner. Steam cleaners lift dirt and grime embedded deep in the carpet pile through a mixture of hot water, carpet cleaner, and intense suction. They can also help with stain removal.
When matter turns from its gas phase back into its liquid phase, the molecules take up much less space and exert far less pressure. In fact, the condensing steam creates a partial vacuum—a region of much lower pressure than that of the surrounding atmosphere—inside the bottle.
The simplest way to steam food is to place a steamer basket in a saucepan over about 5-10cm of boiling water. Place your seasoned food to be steamed in the basket (either directly or on a pate) and cover it with a lid. Most foods will finish cooking anywhere between 5 to 15 minutes, depending what you`re cooking.
Except when you are descaling a steam mop, do NOT put anything other than water in the tank. Not only does this defeat the primary purpose of steam cleaning (in avoiding chemical cleaners), but you can possibly damage your steam cleaner.
A: There is an overheat switch inside the fabric steamer that will shut down the unit if it runs out of water and isn`t turned off. But, there will be damage to the unit before it kicks in.

.If you already know the time that the alarm is set, let the clock run until it sounds.

.I think this should get you operating.
