Kirby Generation 3 Bagged Upright Vacuum\015 I have a Kirby G3 diamond series (purchased new in 2003) that will not turn on by pressing the foot pedal on/off switch. .I took it to a shop that repairs vaccums a few days ago. I didn't even think to look on the net to try and fix myself..I'd like to know if I can fix the pedal. The shop said they will charge me $25.00 for looking at my vacuum, if they fix, that will go toward to fix price, but if they give me a price I cannot afford, I'll pay the $25.00 and take my Kirby home to fix if it's worth it financially and if I can fix it. ANSWER : Hi There, The most common problem by far is that the cord is faulty. This is a pretty easy repair to do at home. If your machine was randomly cutting out before it stopped altogether then the cord is likely the culprit. If however it stopped all of a sudden with no warning then it is possibly a switch or motor issue which is a much harder repair to achieve for a novice.

The brushes on the Hoover All Terrain Steamvac won’t turn. However, when I try to turn them manually they will turn. So, why won’t they turn when the machine is turned on?

The beater bar on my Dyson won’t turn. The vacuum runs and suctions but the bar won’t turn and the belt is not broke. The beater bar did get a carpet fiber caught and wrapped around it which stopped the bar and I removed the bar to cut the fiber loose and replaced it and now it won’t turn
