Check if the mop is properly plugged into the outlet and turned on. If it is on and still not functioning, try resetting the mop by plugging it into a different outlet. Add water to the tank if it is empty then try selecting the `STEAM` setting once more.

If your Shark`s LED headlights are flashing, nine times out of 10 it means that your brush roll is clogged up. Follow the above steps (under the “solid red light” section) to get that brush roll spinning the way it should once more.

Sometimes the battery may have gotten dirty or slipped away from its contacts inside the Shark robot vacuum. Cleaning and repositioning it may fix your problem. But if it`s an old battery or there are clear signs of damage, you should order a replacement battery that matches your model.
The spray tip may be clogged. Use a paperclip and insert it into the spray tip to remove a clog. Now plug back in, making sure you are using a working outlet. You will know, as the Ready light will begin to blink when plugged in.
The vacuum has a safety feature that turns off the vacuum when the vacuum gets to a certain high temperature or overheats. This happens because the vacuum has a motor protective thermostat. If the vacuum turns off due to overheating, the thermostat has to be reset before you can use it again.

To reset your shark vacuum, put the Power button in the On-Off position and keep the vacuum unplugged. If necessary, clear the hose. Once it has cooled completely, plug the vacuum back in again.
If you checked your brush roll, floor setting, and belt but your brush roll is still not spinning, that means you probably need a Shark micro switch replacement. This small switch tells the vacuums brush when to start spinning.

If the Clean RED or Max light is flashing, it means that the robot may be stuck on an obstacle or the front bumper may be jammed. To fix this error, relocate the robot to a different location and inspect the bumper. If light continues to flash, try to remove the front caster wheel and clean the wheel housing.

Aim for a replacement every two to three months or sooner if it looks very dirty. Your floors are only as clean as your mop head; a soiled and worn mop will not be effective.
Do Steam Cleaners Use Soap or Chemicals? These appliances use only clean, cold, tap water. No chemical or detergents can, or should, be used in these systems.
If you have “hard” water, mineral deposits will most likely accumulate (eventually) in the machine and cause it to stop steaming. (Hard tap water is probably the #1 reason for premature failure in appliances that use water like steam irons, coffee makers, steam mops etc.).
