\015 My wife was vacuming the carpet and herard something pop. The beater brush was no longer spinning. There is pleanty of suction, no clogging, etc. Since there is no belt to replace I would think it would be obvious, but I don’t have a repair manual. Also there is a second problem that has been happening for about one month that is inconvenient, but I don’t know if is related: when I lift the vacume by the handle the weight of the head makes it drop down without pushing on the foot release.\015 – Kenmore 31913 Progressive Direct Drive Bagged Upright Vacuum

\015 There is no over-ride switch anywhere that I can find. The reset is not tripped – riller is clean… still doesn’t turn at all when the vacuum is on. I can easily spin it with my hand though.\015 – Kenmore 31913 Progressive Direct Drive Bagged Upright Vacuum
