A few things you can check to try and solve: Turn off the vacuum cleaner – then check if the nozzle, tube, hose or filters are blocked and/or dirty. Let the product cool down for a minimum of 2 hours on the charging stand before starting it again (stick vacuum cleaners only)

Lack of power, a bad power cord, failed drive motor or broken wires in the vacuum hose can prevent the vacuum cleaner from starting. Make sure the electrical outlet that you`re using for the vacuum cleaner works. Try using a different outlet if you suspect that the outlet you`re using is dead.

Check for a plugged hose:

Plugged vacuum hoses are sometimes the reason for a loss in suction. Hoses can get clogged with hair, dust bunnies, string, or anything else that can`t pass through the other end of the hose. Airways inside the machine should be looked at as well. Wherever there is an air passage, check it.

A damaged vacuum hose, clogged motor air filter or bad suction motor can cause the vacuum cleaner to shut off during use. A tripped overload on the vacuum suction motor can shut off the vacuum cleaner during use. If your vacuum has a reset button, push it; if the vacuum seems hot, let it cool off first.

The canister portion of the vacuum contains the main motor, filter, and any dust bags; depending on the model, the power head may also contain a smaller motor.

Whenever light is in a vacuum, its speed has that exact value, no matter who measures it. YOUR VACUUM PUMP WON`T TURN ON

First, check if the pump`s fuses are blown. If your pump works and there are no issues after you`ve replaced the fuses, then you`ve fixed the problem. But if blown fuses are a continuous problem, then you may have a power issue — or you`re using a voltage that is too high for your pump.

A strong odor from the shellac that coats the copper coil windings is an indicator that the motor is about to or has burnt out. If the motor is still running, even if it turns on and off by itself as it is heating and cooling, you can still run the motor until it gives up for good.

The most common problems found in vacuum cleaners are low suction force, excessive noise, burning smell, vacuum not turn on, and overheating. These issues can be fixed by either cleaning the device or replacing some parts of the device. At times, it is best to seek a professional to fix the cleaner effectively.

– Some vacuums have an in-line thermal fuse (often located between the switch lead and the motor coil). If the fuse is blown it will need to be replaced. – Check your home circuit breaker – it may have tripped. – Some vacuums have a brushroll on/off control.

Make sure the rinse hold function is not activated

Ensure a delicate wash cycle has not been selected (this will activate the rinse hold procedure). If rinse hold is activated the door of the machine will not open. Make sure a spin speed has been selected. Carry out a spin or drain cycle.

If the tumble dryer is in energy-saving mode, you will only see a flashing start/pause button. You can disable the energy-saving mode by switching the dryer off and on again. Select a drying cycle and press the start/pause button.

Blown Dryer Thermal Fuse

If your Electrolux dryer clicks but won`t start the thermal fuse may have blown. This fuse acts as a safety device that blows when the dryer is in danger of overheating, cutting off power. The dryer will continue to make a clicking sound without turning on until the thermal fuse is replaced.

The rollers must spin freely to work properly. If the drum rollers are worn out, the dryer won`t turn properly. To determine if the support rollers are worn out, remove the belt from the dryer and try turning the drum by hand. If the drum does not rotate freely, check the support rollers for wear.

ANSWER : The problem was a sticking switch that was not being reset. The vacuum on/off switch mechanism is comprised of two switches. One is the main switch that turns the vacuum on and off. The second is a shut off switch that gets tripped when the full bag sensor is engaged. This second switch is supposed to get reset when you push the on/off switch on the outside of the machine. The full bag shutoff switch was stiff and it, therefore, was taking a couple of presses of the on/off switch to move the shutoff switch back into the running position.

ANSWER : The plug light should be on, so you know its getting power. it might just be a broken switch, or worst case a bad motor. a good vacuum repair should should be able to check it out at little to no charge before you agree to any repair.

I was vacuuming and noticed that the bag needed changing. the red light with the ! inside the triangle also came on. When the bag was changed, the vacuum would not restart. The red light came on. Tried the reset button but nothing happened. Tried unplugging and re-plugging in and nothing happened. Replaced all the filters and still it wouldh’t start. I purchased a brand new Eureka Pet vacuum, sorry don’t know exact name but it the one that has the self cleaning duster on it. Last night I used the vacuum on my carpet, it was working fine until I accidently sucked up the corner of a scarf that was hanging off a couch. ANSWER : If the motor is running, there should be suction. Possible problems depend on whether it’s a canister or upright and are:
.A clog in the hose, UR or canister. Detach hose. Drop small coin in one end and lift hose causing it to roll out the other. If it does, no clog in hose. Drop same coin into hose opening on power head. If it rolls out, no clog in PN.
.Broken fan blades, UR. Needs to be taken to shop for repair/replacement.

.A reset button is for use if the motor isn’t running, so won’t have anything to do with the suction.

Electrolux vacuum brush not turning problem:

was vacuuming and rug got caught auto shut off kicked off power to brush. instead of hitting red button to restart brush I disconnected brush to vacuum some hair in Conner. after i reconnected the brush and hit the red button but no power to brush. Light won’t even switch on. Hope you can help

ANSWER : Under the vacuum, there is a guard..remove the guard , either by 2 screws or by 2 clips..there is a belt under the guard..that is connected to the brush..the belt need to be replaced.

Dirt devil vacuum cleaner–trouble vacuuming dirt and pet hair on carpeting –is the problem with the spinning brush which contacts the floor, not contacting the carpeting?? I thought (when I bought this vacuum) that the aforementioned brush was adjustable to various heights of carpeting. Sometimes, it seems like nothing is being vacuumed up –unless I have just put a new bag on the vacuum… Do I need or can I replace the spinning brush on the bottom of the vacuum so it kicks up and vacuums

I have a Kenmore canister vacuum – model 25614506. Some time ago, I was not able to turn the vacuum off with the on/off switch, but could still use the vacuum. Turned if off/on by pulling the plug. The other day when I went to plug it in, I heard a pop. Now the sweeper runs but the vacuum cleaner does not **** – no air flow. What could be the problem. The cleaner is only 4 years old.

When i turn on the vacuum it shuts right off. the speckled bag light is on (2 lights under the plug light)

ANSWER : Im going to guess you have an Electrolux Tank. the control valve inside probably went bad. normally i just disconnect it. Do no try to take it apart if you don’t know what your doing. take it to a vacuum shop.
